There’s many factors to this.
I wasn’t bothered by the Farage ‘visit’ by name, wouldn’t be by any politician, that still stands, the initial over reaction was just that, because of who it was, it was silly off the charts stuff - had it just have been that then I do think it would’ve all blown over, and it was up until an hour ago but it obviously now seems a lot more than a ‘visit’.
Now the facts (we’re assuming they’re facts but being reported by very good sources) are coming out I have to admit I’m a bit disappointed mainly because of the lies from the club, they lied to Phil and the EADT, lied to their own staff. Lied about the gifted 6 shirts that we all have to work hard to earn money to pay for. |  |

There’s many factors to this.

Posted for quite a while that Ashton was a man with an ego who loves the limelight but goes into hiding when things gets tough. From the poor recruitment in the PL, spending £££ on overpriced players, now this whole political shitshow. His behaviour has been corroborated by people who I know that have worked with him both at Town and Bristol City.
I (and plenty others) such as Darkhorse have gotten plenty of downvotes by the Ashton lovers here all this while.

Definitely. We can’t have anyone with such poor judgement running our club. Any one of us, regardless of political persuasion could have told him it was a very bad idea. Initially I was giving him and the club the benefit of the doubt but the disclosures today make his position untenable. If he goes now there is a chance the damage can be limited to where we are now but the longer he stays the worse it will be. Knowing what we do now, he should have gone on Tuesday. Ashton threatened to “finish” our fans group for displaying ‘unauthorised banners inside HIS stadium’ during a recent meeting.
He was shouting and swearing at us for a good 45 minutes - we had to tell him to calm down and stop talking to us the way he was. Could tell from the (non) reaction of the other club staff present, it wasn’t the first time they’d seen him behave like that.
The whole meeting was wild and if I hadn’t have witnessed it myself, I probably wouldn’t have believed it.
If this is the end of him, then good riddance. Despite his good professional work, as a man, he’s never been fit to lead our great club. [Post edited 26 Mar 18:45]
