| All this just for the CEO's ego and wanting to meet Nigel Farage on 17:11 - Mar 26 by GlasgowBlue | He can't hide in his bunker for the entire international break. He has to face the cameras and at least show some genuine contrition. This isn't just damaging for the reputation of the club, it also can't be doing the team spirit any good at such a pivotal time of the season. |
Let him keep his shares and send him packing. If we don't act soon I can see sponsors getting the hump which will be like a red rag to a Bull for a Private Equity company. He's gone.

Course he's gone. Negotiating for the next shirt sponsorship after this will cost us millions. And the owners will know that.

What he does in his free time is down to him. But, downright lying, the arrogance to simply try to shrug it off is breathtaking. He’s pissed off some of the players, annoyed the sponsors, made the club a laughing stock. He has to go.

I hate "I told you sos" but your contributions have been something else tbh. Anyhow....not wanting a row, but the way so many refused to see what was clearly a PR fck up is something else. |
There’s many factors to this. I wasn’t bothered by the Farage ‘visit’ by name, wouldn’t be by any politician, that still stands, the initial over reaction was just that, because of who it was, it was silly off the charts stuff - had it just have been that then I do think it would’ve all blown over, and it was up until an hour ago but it obviously now seems a lot more than a ‘visit’. Now the facts (we’re assuming they’re facts but being reported by very good sources) are coming out I have to admit I’m a bit disappointed mainly because of the lies from the club, they lied to Phil and the EADT, lied to their own staff. Lied about the gifted 6 shirts that we all have to work hard to earn money to pay for.

I accept its evolved, but there was always the unaddressed question of how did Farage get access to the club and how was he allowed to do his PR stunt. Those shouting "move on" or "I'm bored" failed to grasp that that remained unanswered.

| All this just for the CEO's ego and wanting to meet Nigel Farage on 18:10 - Mar 26 with 1114 views | ITFCSG | Posted for quite a while that Ashton was a man with an ego who loves the limelight but goes into hiding when things gets tough. From the poor recruitment in the PL, spending £££ on overpriced players, now this whole political shitshow. His behaviour has been corroborated by people who I know that have worked with him both at Town and Bristol City. I (and plenty others) such as Darkhorse have gotten plenty of downvotes by the Ashton lovers here all this while. Now the truth is out, I wasn't too far off innit. Even that I didn't expect him to be dishonest and come up with lies to cover his own a$$. That's worth a sacking on its own. That's it. MA get the fk out of our Club. NOW. | | | |

| All this just for the CEO's ego and wanting to meet Nigel Farage on 18:17 - Mar 26 with 1031 views | CopfordBlue | Definitely. We can’t have anyone with such poor judgement running our club. Any one of us, regardless of political persuasion could have told him it was a very bad idea. Initially I was giving him and the club the benefit of the doubt but the disclosures today make his position untenable. If he goes now there is a chance the damage can be limited to where we are now but the longer he stays the worse it will be. Knowing what we do now, he should have gone on Tuesday. No apologies, no excuses, get him gone. | |

I just assumed, like many others, including Phil that they had booked a private tour ( https://www.itfc.co.uk/portman as anyone seemingly can. That’s why I gave it the ‘much-ado-about-nothing’ attitude, yeah little bit disappointing with the social media stuff and our club being a bit tarnished for a day or two, also saw the funny side with the memes etc But obviously now seems the club fed lies out to everyone, which is probably the most disappointing part.

Ashton had even said that O’Leary put the brakes on him every now and then in an interview a cuppla years back.

And it's the lies that make his position untenable for me. He can support whoever he wants, he can host whoever he wants. But Farage using the club for his PR was always an error and rather than apologise they chose to lie about it...

| All this just for the CEO's ego and wanting to meet Nigel Farage on 18:45 - Mar 26 with 843 views | Blue_Order | Ashton threatened to “finish” our fans group for displaying ‘unauthorised banners inside HIS stadium’ during a recent meeting. He was shouting and swearing at us for a good 45 minutes - we had to tell him to calm down and stop talking to us the way he was. Could tell from the (non) reaction of the other club staff present, it wasn’t the first time they’d seen him behave like that. The whole meeting was wild and if I hadn’t have witnessed it myself, I probably wouldn’t have believed it. If this is the end of him, then good riddance. Despite his good professional work, as a man, he’s never been fit to lead our great club. [Post edited 26 Mar 18:45]

Why on earth was he so angry about that?! Does he expect every single banner to be sent to him in advance for approval?

A sad week for the club and he has to be the person who takes the bullet for it. |
A bullet that he has loaded, cocked the hammer and deserves to take.
