Yes, exactly as Scuzzer has already stated. Christ on a bike, it's a forum, he literally said it's just a feeling from the off. And yet he gets pelters. YIKES!
Mots of the posts on here are not based on fact, which is fine. It's all opinion, conjecture. That is what's it's all about.
Genuinely don't care if we are a stepping stone. This is a player that you can centre your team around for such an important year. Survive 1 year in the prem and your chances to survive longer massively increase. The rebuilds needed are far more partial and as a club we progress. This would be a serious statement of intent and one that we accept we enjoy for as long as we can. Everyone talks about Sunderland doing incredibly well to land xakha. This is the equivalent for town only in every area of the pitch we have looked for new levels as well.
The recruitment progressions from days gone by from hearing "no one wants to move to east anglia" to being strongly linked with world Cup winners and league standout performers is quite something.

I am in some sort of dream, if when we got relegated beat 3 nothing away at Preston someone said we would be in the premier league spending fees on international players I would have assumed you would be drunk and/or on many drugs.

This is all too much for my brain to compute.
If we end the window with Embolo and Palacios, with some decent left-sided defensive cover on loan, I'd say that's at least a 9/10 transfer window.
You look at the potential starting XI and compare it with the one that faced Liverpool 2 years ago... Wow, fair f00ks Ashton and Mick Court.
Nothing from Phil on this or the Embolo story as of yet.
Sometimes I think about the frothing lunatics I’ve put on ignore, who will have kept replying to me again and again, but I don’t even realise they exist.
A few Spanish speakers as well, he'll be here for a year whatever happens in reality but hopefully it's one where he's got his Alexis Mac Allister move of the back of it
That feels likely, if we go down he's obviously off and if we stay up there would likely be interest from bigger clubs, especially if he's impressed and stayed fit. That said he'll be nearly 29 by then and who knows, he might love it and fancy another season. Either way if we can get him for the season and he moves on with us recouping our outlay I don't think anyone would turn their nose up at it.
An Argentinian, Chilean, Brazilian & Paraguayan in the squad.

The only danger is we turn into another Newcastle. A club that can attract over 50,000 every home game and still can't hang on to decent players. Money in the bank is great, but it's not the be all and end all if you end up a huge nothing club. Obviously Palacios has had a rethink. Put himself in the Premier shop window and bingo he gets his wish being with a big club. We get a good season, a decent return and he gets his wish, All a bit sad really when you look at players we had in the past. Greats who stayed and in most cases who went when the club failed and had to sell them.

So I am agreeing with him but you decide to wade in with an OTT rant. Nice.

Newcastle who won the Carabao cup and played in the UCL.
