I thought it was a very even game and we deserved a point. However, Dewsbury-Hall will consider himself unlucky not to get a penalty. The first one was a dive and the second one a 50:50 for me. We did have a few chances but not as clinical as Leicester. |  |

I was baffled with the lack of appeal and then everyone lost their minds when Chaplin should have had a blatant free kick seconds afterwards. Was everyone just watching the ball or was there no contact? Also believe there was a handball at the other end in the first half we should have been given a penalty for? It wasn't too dissimilar to the one Davis gave away on Saturday, which I thought was on the soft side. Defenders are allowed to go shoulder to shoulder to ease a player off the ball. | |

First one was an amazing tackle, which took ball then man.
Second was a stonewall penalty, but I think ref was unsighted and Dewsbury-Hall took a couple of steps before he went down, which probably talked the ref out of it. |  |

Not sure it's a stonewaller, they are fairly level when the contact is initiated but Dewsbury-Hall has the legs on him which makes it look worse than it was, imo. He was never getting to the ball so it was a bit rash from Burgess but we've had several far more clearcut fouls in the box not given our way this season, indeed Davis getting clattered last night was more of a foul for me but you don't often see those given. Think it evened itself out in that respect. | |

I have a slightly irrational annoyance of people using the word "stonewall" with respect to penalties, when they really mean "I, persnally, thought it was a stonewall penalty".
"Stonewall" means there's no doubt, but the fact that people are discussing whether it was or not shows it clearly wasn't stonewall.
It's the same with "100%" and "Every day of the week" - meaningless phrases to add weight to your argument rather than factual about the actual event.

I think the Leif one in the penalty area was probably seen as a ‘coming together’ as he’d already got his cross in and Coadys momentum meant he clattered Leif. Similar to the Chaplin one I would have liked to have seen some form a replay of it, but Sky seemed quite keen to move on…

I missed the Davis foul so they could well have done, but I wouldn't be able to keep a straight face making the case for Burgess there tbh. 😅 A well-deserved point whatever one's view though (IMO).
On the subject of Burgess (my fav current CB), will he ever get an attacking header on target again? I'm losing count of the number he's ballooned over now, if I was Davis I'd be asking him to duck. | | | |
