You can take a free kick to yourself - as in hockey.

Change to offside rule. Cannot be offside if the ball is passed forwards from within your own half, as long as you are positioned between half wayline and edge of penalty area.

The six second rule to be strictly enforced
Retroactive bans for professional fouls
Only captains to speak to refs. Anyone else does, it's ten minutes' sin bin.
The death penalty to be reinstated for half and half scarves

Staggered penalties and half and half scarves are the only thing in modern society that warrant the death penalty,

Players whose goal celebration is to "shush" or "cup ear" to opposition fans should be a straight red

If you score, go & celebrate with your own fans, d¡ckhead

You never know, you might endear yourself to your own supporters & them to you

Reinstatement of 'sudden death' extra time in cup games. No penalty shoot outs, no full half hour. Just get the thing over and done with as soon as possible. Oh, and to that end I would add that anyone booked in the first ninety minutes (plus added time) is not allowed to participate in extra time.

Maybe if fans didn’t abuse them in the first place they might not do that.

Refs decision is final.

All managers have 3 opportunities per game where they can challenge a decision and it goes to VAR. If they're correct. They keep their challenge. If they lose, they lose a substitution.

Not really a rule, but take out the teams who have qualified for Europe from the Carabao Cup, replace them with the equivalent number of sides who finished at the top of the Conference.

A fifth official.
She will be a fat lady who sits next to the stadium announcer.
When she grabs the mic and sings that's it.
Both teams will rush to the changing rooms and the crowd will hurry to the exits so that don't have to hear her off-key rendition of Aga-do.
No Fergie time allowed.

Don't believe a word I say. I'm only kidding. Or am I?

Add an extra assist onto goals. I think in the modern game with more passing than ever before, more players deserve acknowledgement for goals. I'd like to see football adopt the same as Ice Hockey by giving the previous 2 players in goals and assist rather than just one.
