Interestingly, I trained as s lawyer with Trevor Asserson who set up the firm and is its Senior Partner.
I was very friendly with him at the time but haven't seen him for 40 years because he left the firm when he qualified.

Ok Ok She didn't crash GDP (the measure of the economy) so maybe it would be better to say she trashed about 10 million pension pots and increased 15 million mortgages and tanked the pound.

“But Truss” - saying that Reeves is better than arguably our worst ever PM isn’t the great defence some think it is.

I doubt she ever had any principles. Ambition, but little else. She was known to be utterly useless at every job she’d ever touched.
A former colleague worked directly to her at MoJ and said she was nightmare stupid and unpleasant with it. He reckoned it was a massive improvement to his working life when Gove took over. Says it all really given what that toerag was.
To this day I cannot understand why anyone in the Tory party thought she’d make a good leader. They all knew how useless she was. It was little different to seeing your house on fire and deciding to put the flames out with petrol.
If the government wants to save a few pennies, it could start by taking her big fat ex-PM pension off her. £115k for life for what she did in a few short months from yours and my taxes? Should be jailed for theft. And buffoon Boris, slippery Cameron and Roland rat Sunak to boot. Ok that’s only about £460k a year but in a bankrupt economy of their making every little helps. | | | |

At the time I knew him, he was very idealistic, and I thought he planned to move to a law firm with more of a social justice emphasis, so maybe there was a gap before he joined Herbies.
