Marcus Harness or Joe Piggott on 06:58 - Apr 28 with 2668 views | PioneerBlue | We got Marcus Harness. I like him a lot and there is more to come. His form has been challenged by injuries and then the form of Broadhead. I still thought he was brought to cover Burns on the right but it’s never played out that way, he was needed in the 10 position and was scoring, he got injured, Wes never went to Qatar, now Broadhead his nailed on based on form.

Marcus Harness or Joe Piggott on 07:19 - Apr 28 with 2584 views | USA | I can see him being sold in the summer. Looks several levels below Broadhead and is very inconsistent. Has looked totally void of confidence and whenever he comes on you feel that the attacking ability of our team is severely reduced. Let’s see what KMcK does, maybe he can improve him!

Yes, he was really good on Tuesday. Not sure if he’s a Championship player but I won’t be unhappy if he stays as a back up option.

I think several of his sub appearances have been better than many have given him credit for. A few times he's had to play in two different positions in his 20 or some minutes often while having to react to other subs coming on in the forward line just after he's settled into a game.

Perhaps he’ll go to Leicester, Pigott.

I absolutely agree with this. He has held the ball up well and helped us retain possession towards the end of some crucial games. I think he is a nice, tidy footballer who has served us well this season.

Marcus Harness or Joe Piggott on 09:07 - Apr 28 with 2193 views | tractordownsouth | Harness was excellent in the first couple of months but I’d be surprised to see him still here next season. As for Pigott, Wrexham would be a good move if they could afford him. He’d do well there playing in a front two winning the flick ons for Mullin or alongside Palmer who he was with at Wimbledon.

I assume Humphreys may be a bit down the pecking order next season, so maybe a loan to a footballing side would be best for his career development, unless McKenna thinks he could learn more by being here next season, even if he only plays in cup games.

And the injury clearly knocked him back, with a full pre season think he'll be a decent option for us next year

Marcus Harness or Joe Piggott on 09:16 - Apr 28 with 2147 views | SomethingBlue | It's probably one of Harness and Edwards next season — I'm sure what the players want will be among the factors, both will want to play and Edwards in particular could do with racking up 40 starts somewhere. I'd choose Edwards out of the two and it's not particularly close, but can see why McKenna has appreciated Harness's pressing and work off the ball — which was a big factor for us early in the season — along with his versatility. His impact has faded but he has played his part.

He had a poor half against Cheltenham but other than that he's been pretty good and especially versatile as a second half sub. Hell, we can let him off Cheltenham innit. Harness' main problem here atm is not being as good as Broadbent and Chappers.

Marcus Harness or Joe Piggott on 09:26 - Apr 28 with 2056 views | clive_baker | Pigott's just so far away from being remotely useful in our system. When I've seen him he's looked fairly immobile, lacks the speed of thought and execution and ultimately just isn't at the level required for us. Stick him up front in a Lincoln side, get some runners off him and he'll probably do alright. The challenge we'll have with him is he's on a LOT of money. We might have to fund some of his final year just to get him out. Harness has been hit and miss but that's pretty characteristic of his career really. Not sure I can see him as a player that'll tear up the Championship, and at an age where he's probably reached his ceiling, but could be a handy squad player. I imagine if someone offered us what we paid for him we might be tempted to take it but doubt we'll be too proactive in trying to move him on.

Marcus Harness or Joe Piggott on 10:26 - Apr 28 with 1896 views | Radlett_blue | Harness is 27 so why do you think he is likely to improve? I think he's a decent League 1 wide attacker, but won't be seen much in a Town shirt again if we are promoted.

Marcus Harness or Joe Piggott on 10:54 - Apr 28 with 1813 views | hype313 | Wouldn't be surprised if both will end up up staying in League One next season. Piggot had one good season and needs a certain team and set way to play to get the best out of him i.e. not us. Harness has shown pockets of nice play but also times where he couldn't trap a bag of cement. His inconsistency is his Achilles heel for me, nice on his day, but few and far between, although his injury hasn't helped.

Harness all day long over Humphreys... Humphreys hasn't made the bench since Luongo (and Ball), have been in the picture. That said, a fighting fit TJJ , would have probably challenged Harness for a bench/ rotarion role, since Broadheads arrival.

Blimey, I'd forgotten about TJJ. There's another one I wonder if we'll sign. Would he get a place?

I was thinking yesterday, two players in Evans and TJJ. What if they'd both stayed fit? Would we have seen Broadhead here, or Luongo? My opinion of Harness over Humphreys, is purely pragmatic. To quote a KM buzz word " robustness ". Not sure how Cam would have fared against a very physical, athletic Barnsley the other night. Even off the bench.. Notice Harness got the nod over Edwards for a cameo. Imo, probably just because of his workrate and effort on our press, to keep up the intensity. Had we been behind, we might have seen Edwards instead. But Harness puts himself about in the oppo half, imo. Which goes unnoticed, for me. Technically, you'd have to say Edwards and perhaps Humphreys , too , have the edge. But, if you need a dog in that area, snapping at opposition and giving them no restbite. With the ability to create or score a goal ( when in form), then a player like Harness has a role to play, imo.. The biggest problem I've got with Harness, is that sometimes he just takes a little while to get up to speed, imo. And can look a bit like a rabbit caught in the headlights..Fortunately, on Tuesday he looked straight up to speed when he came on. I thought he looked quite sharp. In fact...
