That early to mid 70s yellow shirt blue shorts yellow socks kit was really good. I’d have no problem with us wearing it again. The yellow framed badge was better than the current one too in my view.
My favourite away kit though is the 77/78 to early 80s white shirt, black shorts and socks. Maybe that’s just nostalgia. |  | | |

Our 70's away yellow was a thing of beauty. No one even mentioned the 'yellow peril' of it at the time. The badge on the shirt was all yellow too. A Mick Mills match worn one, signed, was on ebay only a couple of weeks ago. Long sleeve, was sitting at 300 quid plus. Older fans like myself remember very well Towns yellow and blue trimmed away strip. It’s iconic , and I would love us to have it again. The yellow shirt is primrose yellow, not the same colour as scum shirt. Forgot scum, when we wore this kit Town fans never gave a passing thought to that lot because they weren’t even on the horizon. We used to considered games vs West Ham as the “ local derby”.
Yellow shirt, blue trim, blue shorts, yellow socks, blue trim. Iconic Ipswich Town in the 1970’s. And the same colour combo as Arsenal 1978 in the FA Cup. Nothing like scum! |  |
