Few days before a tournament I’m normally so engrossed, fat les on the Alexa etc…
But I’m so footballed out after these two seasons… I haven’t really thought about it. I’m sure once we get to the knockouts that I’ll change my views. But it’s that bad I’m missing the Denmark game to go and have an 80th bday dinner with one of my wife’s clients! (Admittedly he owns the biggest house in Dedham, and was the CEO of Walls ice cream, so the grub should be incredible!)

I've always been country over club in terms of winning things (and really think England winning a Euros or World Cup would be a spectacular party) but I have to say that the celebrations after Huddersfield this year were so good that I don't really see how anything England related can top that. Was just a perfect day of celebrating with people you love.
That being said, a straight shootout between winning something very important v just staying up is a bit different and so I'd probably still pick England (but the implication that staying up allows future Ipswich success etc. makes it harder than it once was). |  | | |
