The thought of Brandon Williams rejoining should never have been considered.
As I have said previously, wish him all the best, there is ability there, but let's just say it comes with baggage.
I hope he uses this summer to reset and restart his career before it passes him by.

Certainly seems a like for like replacement in that he can play both full back positions. I also noticed the Hammers were starting to bring him on as a centre midfielder towards the end of last season so wouldn’t surprise me if he ends up there at some point in his career. |  |

Need to be clear here, there is no such thing as a 'free'.
As there is no transfer fee involved, players generally demand a much high signing on fee, wages and bonuses as a result. This doesn't factor in agent fees either.
So, it's not 'free'. It needs to be repositioned as a 'No transfer fee' signing. As should they all. |  |

I'm quietly optimistic about this signing but the Spammer I know wasn't too bothered about keeping him even when it looked as though he'd sign a new deal with them. Let's not go overboard thinking we've signed a superstar. Hopefully he's a solid player at this level.
Similarly, what do we do with Axel? He was solid enough, but he didn't really stand out in the league below. If we had a game tomorrow and everyone was fit, he wouldn't get in ahead of Clarke or any of our first choice cbs for me. | | | |

Always the case, and I have also read a lot of comments regarding it being a really good bit of business as well from much more respectable people than X posters.
From what I have seen of him, he fits our profile perfectly - young, ambitious, good pedigree, England youth, athletic, technical and incredibly versatile.
Last year he played RB, LB & CM.
