Constituents of a "Full English"..... 17:34 - Sep 23 with 4954 viewsBloots

....should be:

Fried Egg (not poached or scrambled)
Bacon (back not streaky)
Sausage (preferably pork)
Mushrooms (fried)
Baked beans
Tomato (halved and grilled, at a push fried)
Fried Bread (not toast)

Plus a cup of tea.

Anything else is wrong, you idiots.

Correct, apart from it needing 2 fried eggs, 2 sausages and more than one rasher of bacon.

And what sort of wuss has a cup of tea with breakfast? It has to be a mug, preferably a pint one. Breakfast is a serious thing, not some sort of Women’s Institute tea morning.

Poll: Do you think Pert is key to all of this?

Nothing wrong with poached.... on 20:10 - Sep 23 by Bloots

....just not on a full English.

Fried only.

Ideally with a runny yolk and slightly brown bits around the edge.

Agree on the eggs, should be runny but with a brown lacey fringe around the edges.

However this is just a 'part' English without black pudding, you're spouting nonsense to aggravate but getting it almost right so it doesn't look like trolling.

Amen to rejecting the stupid little pots.

On anything. Put. The. Food. On. The. Plate

A breakfast without black pudding is a crime.
No place for hash browns - American nonsense.
Toast and fried bread. Where do you put your jam to finish if there’s no toast?

It goes better than that, when presented the choice I go for eggs royale (with spinach and mushrooms as well). I also make this at home regularly and haven't made a full English in years because of it. I have had 3 full Englishes in the past 10 days though due to hotel stays

eggs what?????

Beans should be on the plate and not in a stupid little pot but they should also be kept well away from egg yoke by a strong sausage barrier

Grilled (or, worse, fresh) tomato is an abomination. If you must put tomatoes with an English breakfast, then they should be tinned, plum tomatoes.

Baked beans I can do without, too.
