I guess it depends on how we're expecting Preston to play a bit, but in this instance I think its worth breaking the pattern a bit and throwing Moore straight in - it will certainly cause Preston major concern and get us on the front foot in the game, even if we're not quite as in tune with each other and as slick as we might be with KJ up there.

There is no such thing as a "ready to go Hirst replacement." Moore knows nothing of our system and patterns of play, and the rest of the team have no idea how he plays. I'd be amazed, given those facts, that McKenna would just throw him straight in and hope for the best. |  |

I think people underestimate the tactical demands of the number 9 role in our set up. It's not as simple as him being fit so we can just throw him in and it'll all work out. He's not trained with us yet, only been here for a day, and won't have got to grips with our patterns of play at all. McKenna has tended to be careful with throwing players straight in from the start at late notice, probably learning the lesson of what happened with Davis. I'd be surprised if he starts, think it's more likely he comes off the bench against tiring defenders after Jackson runs them ragged for 60-70 minutes. |  |

That’d be Moore like McKenna …
However, think he may make an exception today - Kieffer will have watched videos, and is experienced enough to be able to take in and implement what’s required. Better to have Moore time if possible to provide something that’s been missing lately, than just a substitute’s minutes. |  |
