And what's the full wording on the sleeve pls?

Is there wording on the sleeve?

I bet the letters pages of the local papers will be full of 'I think you'll find' type letters pointing out it's not Suffolk pink, which is more orangey like the below. Traditionally dyed with blood. Hopefully the kit is more vegetarian friendly.

Already had this on Twitter. It’s nothing like Suffolk pink and these days it’s assumed to be much paler than that, due to the lack of blood etc.

The kit is decent, but the press release is a bit of a mess. The only good thing is Norwich releasing their plain white kit and saying it’s inspired by the North Norfolk coast!

but thats the cop out with the its "inspired" by Suffolk pink, its not claiming to be Suffolk pink.

and tbf I think a traditional Suffolk pink would look horrible as a kit colour anyway, not that anyone definitely has the pantone colour set for Suffolk pink, its a bit like British racing green, or British Rail blue in that respect, its just peoples impressions of what it should be like.

I wanted the shirts to be hand died in the blood of an ox, sloe and elderberries and blackthorn.

To be fair, Phil wrote "inspired by". Ed wrote "We used Suffolk pink, which nods to the way cottages have been painted here for generations."

Seen these around. More authentic, but not a football kit colour

Cue the screams from the "proper blokes" who wouldn't be caught dead wearing pink!!

It's different, it's quirky, it's unique. Love it. Will sell well.

Well done Towen and Ed for trying something a bit different

ah no the sound waves on the mid is "A wave made up of 6 lines represents the 60 mile historic Suffolk Coastal Path which stretches the coastline all the way from Felixstowe to Lowestoft."

whilst the sound waves mid to lower are "Soundwaves created from the cheer of the crowd as players run out of the tunnel means the roar of Portman Road is taken with you across the country."

whilst the pink is inspired by ‘Suffolk Pink’ the colour of numerous cottages scattered throughout the county, but also the graduated colour hints to the Suffolk sunset...

The choice of the shade of pink is the most confusing part of the shirt, of they were going to do it they could have at least gone with the right pink. Being 'inspired' by ot doesn't really mean much when it comes to a colour lol. Think it could have been a good shirt had they. Got that right, based on the photos it seems more neon.

I'm struggling to see the logic of the two change kits being (1) maroon and (2) quite a dark pink.

Was just in the club shop and they are quite different when together, certainly not a clash.

Fair enough. Just concerned that some refs might decide that all three kits clash with Palace or Villa or whoever, and we have to send Pert off to Asda to buy some white t-shirts.

Do we have a new kitman to foresee these issues now James Pullen has been shown the door?

I'm undecided, but I like the stories behind it.

Lady Dollers hates it, said it reminds her of pink icing she ate too much of as a kid and vomitted.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

The "inspired by" bit is just the clubs own kit blurb, you can read it in all it's glory on their website. Not their fault Ed didn't read it LoL.

But the point I was responding to is if anyone is daft enough to write into the local press claiming its not Suffolk pink, then they need to be made to read the "INSPIRED" by bit that goes with thr kit releae it.

But its the shade of pink it is because they wanted a pink kit, and all this pointless word salad that goes with it is just marketing

It's growing on me. I like it that:

1. There's a castle on our kit. How's many clubs have done that before?
2. This will sell well among Sheeran's fanbase so extra income generated.
