Yes, fraid so, he’s proving he’s not a Premier League manager. No sentiment in football, sack him and get someone in who can keep us up, just like Forest did.
Yes we can see by your posting history that you wanted McKenna sacked last year too. I was tempted to lock this thread as I fear there will be a pile on today and that won't be good for your mental health if you do have problems there.
You have to accept there is a gulf in class between the Premier and Championship and it would take a few seasons in this league to be competitive. KM has to work with what he's got and maybe he's learned a lot from yesterday. We're going to have a busy January too I think.

They say players always need completion otherwise they get complacent. Whys that different for managers if they feel there's no risk.
McKenna doesn't need a nudge, from fans, MA, or anyone else for that matter.
He is more than aware of his position, after all its his reputation that is at stake.
His reputation is his Dollar, he knows this more than anyone.
I strongly suspect that if he did leave, under whatever circumstances, it's more than likely to have a bigger negative effect on the team. The players clearly love him.
In league 1 and in the championship, we had a a coach and staff who are Premiership standard. Now he's up against fellow top quality Premiership Managers and coaches, and superbly fit, gifted players.
No one should kid themselves that our squad is on the same level as pretty much all other premiership teams.
We all need to keep this in perspective, he's clearly a top quality coach, but effectively working with one hand tied behind his back.If he had the same quality squad as the other teams, well that then becomes a different story.
I am still angry as anything and yes McKenna has to shoulder some blame but the guy worked miracles last year and deserves the chance to bring us back up again unless we are losing 6-0 every week. He's still learning and this is the first time as a manager he's having a proper 'bad' run. Let's not be one of those clubs changing manager every 5 mins.
Premiership status is hard won and if we carry on like this under McKenna we go down, and may never get back.
He’s not a premiership manager, his signings, performances and results have proved this. We can’t wait for him to learn.
Look where Forest are now. Act before it is too late.
This thread actually resembles the idiocy of modern day ......everything. The sort of bewildered idiocy that has people voting for people like Johnson and Farage (i know nothing to do with this but the sentiment to madness is parallel. )
I sincerely hope that you are a Norwich fan on for a wind up as if this is serious then god help us all.

It’s a car crash of a posting history. I think we can safely ignore such ‘insight’, although it would be nice to avoid an unpleasant pile on (maybe a bit late for that though! ).

If you say we should sack McKenna, we should most definitely keep him.
Your posting history is a 100% record of getting every football take regarding Ipswich comprehensively wrong. Not like, slightly wrong or a bit wrong. Or a few mistakes. You literally get proven wrong on every single aspect of every post you've ever written.
I'd recommend another sport, but perhaps sport in general isn't for you.
I would not sack him if we were relegated. He would be the best man for the job of getting us promoted again.
Sacking him is effectively punishing him for promotion. He could have sat in mid-table last year and lose in the play-off final this year and no-one would think of sacking him, yet the outcome would be the same except he'd have a much weaker squad for next season.

The reality is KM is not likely to be here next season if we fall through the trap door. People need to understand that this is the season, promoted to early is not an excuse. There are clubs in this league that will be looking to make changes in the summer and I do think KM will have offers. If he is on 5M a year then in the championship he would probably be the highest paid manager. He will likely have a release clause if we go down, we may like to think he will be around to guide us back but reality is he probably won’t be.
Ashton said a few weeks ago that he couldn't foresee any realistic situation at all where McKenna would be shown the door this season.
As for unrealistic situations, he could walk out of the tunnel giving everyone the finger, clad in a Norwich shirt, setting fire to any portrait we have of SBR, after banning Pat Godbold from the ground, and punting Crazee in the spuds, and I suspect Ashton would still just say "Not sure about that, Kieran"
If he's not here come May, it won't be because we've kicked him out. Simple as that, and quite right too.

Been there done that with that opinion, I was wrong in Feb 2022 and it's wrong now!
I do think there's a nugget of truth here - he hasn't proven himself as a PL manager so far - and we may well go down. But sacking him would be ridiculous.
