You can tell by how quickly he gets up, and the smile (rather than protesting at the decision).

Happens 3 or 4 times a game.

Looked like contact on the replay!

I believe the technical term is "initiating the contact"!

Yes. Delap made contact with their defender. Not a foul.

Or 'trailing a leg'.

Unfortunately the contact was after he left the ground and jumped into him

Delap jumps over him... if he hadn't he would have made contact and got the free kick

Love the downvotes, given all the comments state the obvious.

It's a striker skill to win fouls, sure... but he's just not very good at it yet!

Because Delap has tried to find it desperately.

I know that was then, but it could be again..

He does definitely dive more than I want an ITFC player to do (I don't want any ITFC player diving), but I thought that was more looking for (and getting) the contact than a dive.

I can see why it wasn't given though.

if it wins a freekick for us Im totally fine with it, but the ref (this ref especially) was never going to give it because it looked too obviously he was going to go down, so it was just a waste of an attempt, he'll learn.

This post getting down votes perfectly illustrates the problem with modern football fans.

All too happy to see cheating as long as it benefits your team, and a disgrace as soon as someone else does it.

Sad.

Fans like you are part of what's killing the game. Embarrassing take.

No, just don't think he dives. He's physical and throws himself about but I don't think he deliberately goes to ground.

Thanks for the judgement though.

Truly impaired.

Not sure £80 mil....but to be fair he is different gravy. Very few players who can just go away from people like Delap does. And his size and power. Frightening potential.

That’s never ever a foul. His decision making really isn’t at the level some think it is at times.
