The top priority this summer is the two in the 4231. Whilst there’s no doubt Morsy could do another championship season I think he’d be on the wane by the end of it at least. Seems like the sort of deal that would suit him if it happens and we need youth in those positions now. |
We need 2 irrespective of where Morsy is next season. I’d like him as an option though, bit of leadership and continuity. Should still have a role to play for 12 months ideally. |  | | |

Unless I’ve missed it, which is entirely possible, Cajuste is the only one of the loan players who hasn’t given a farewell message yet.

I saw Harrison Reed’s name mentioned the other evening, any other names? I guess we’re pushing quite hard for Cajuste too. |
There was positive sentiment towards Cajuste talks last week but with nothing finalised at the time. Harrison Reed was one we’d spoken to and I believe was also still progressing at the time.
Someone else stated we had agreed a fee for a Birmingham chap but that’s not one I’ve heard.
Know we pushed very hard for Downes at the end of January, however his Instagram post was unnecessarily positive about next season at saints if he thought he was off.
I think we’ll end up with both Cajuste and Reed, but may well need 2 more |  | | |

With Sam, it is not about a loss of his playing ability, that is relatively easy to replace.
Replacing his leadership qualities, is much much harder, but totally essential as one thing I think we lacked this season is enough leaders, who, when we were behind were prepared to stick their necks out and say "we are not having this" |

Think we will learn from the keeper situation and get as settler squad we can for if we go up again this season.

Ahead of a PL one imo, as we’d have to replace him anyway. He’ll never play in the PL again, but he could play a valuable contribution next season. It’s probably bollox though - the Saudi links have been around for over a year. | |

Would be an emotional one - what a player, what a captain.
There is of course the flip side that says we are always looking to evolve and develop - and at 33/34 it may be we are looking for the next group to take us on another incredible journey, like Morsy’s men did previously.
