What a strange individual. His significant other works at the Hospital, yet he's spouting anti vax garbage on his Instagram.

How's that career going again?

Many footballers leave school at 16.

Unfortunately this means many are poorly educated and easily lead by misinformation.

He needs to stop that rubbish though.

It's surprising if that is the case, his dad was a GP until recently.

It's counter-intuitive, but in my experience a surprising number of people within the medical profession hold questionable views on vaccination.

Weird bloke. Good player, made of glass so an utter waste of space for us

The German announcement is the solution to this anti vax nonsense. No vaccine, no access to anything much. Simple. My neighbour was a fierce anti vaxxer. Wanted to go to Spain with her family so had the vaccinations. She still seems to be alive and well and shopping online for England - and is no longer an anti-vaxxer.

Same here in France - not many youngsters were having the jab in the summer. Then the government introduced the pass sanitaire (Covid passport more or less) and told everyone they couldn't go to bars, restaurants, nightclubs or travel without it. The take up rate shot up after that.

Get him flogging one of the vaccines for cold, hard cash and see how quickly he changes his tune.

Indeed. Same with my uncle who started going down that rabbit hole until it impacted going on his holidays. Needless to say his missus wasn't having any of it!

Leaving school early doesn't necessarily equate with lack of intelligence or education (laying my cards on table as someone who left at 15 because I hated school, poor teachers who didn't engage & who labelled me as "not university material" - went on to get OU degree in my 30s thanks to wonderful tutors who showed up how bad the school's had been).

Interestingly, the R4 docu I linked yesterday https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m001214x

asserted that anti-vaxxers & other conspiracy theorists tend to be above average intelligence, as people with higher IQs are more likely to challenge accepted thinking & free-roam more widely.

I still remember the practising medical doctor in India at the start of the pandemic who said she'd keep visiting the temple to pray, as her god would protect her from Covid19!

Wonder if she's changed her thinking 18 months on, if she's still alive.

I left school at 16 and am working class and I don't believe in this anti-vax nonsense. Put the classism to bed, just as many people who have been to Uni and have a good education spout shyte on vaccines. See Piers Corbyn.

Emyr is a good looking boy. Fine footballer before his injuries, a real shame as I have no doubts he would have been a Wales regular.

He was very good during his loan spell. The winner at Villa must be my favourite Ipswich moment of the last 6 years.

Crazy to think that they're absolutely adamant the vaccine will kill them/make them ill/is untested and dangerous and yet all you have to do is say 'take it and you can go to the pub' and they're OK with it....

I stumbled across the Twitter account of Kerry Dixon (ex Chelsea striker for those reading under 40) the other day.

I think the word I'm looking for is "Yikes".
