I think they were but there was very little between us. The first goal they have conceded in the league at home this season. A draw would have been a fair outcome but they deserved the win more than we did on the overall play. Need to beat them when they come to PR.

Better team won. on 14:42 - Sep 25 with 4334 views | britbiker | I think they just shaded it but we were decent as well and had our chances to close out the game. Let's remember that's the first goal they have concerned at home so they are no mugs.

We shaded the first half but they were clearly better in the second.

The goal stats say they were better than us. They beat us and we can have no complaints.

Better team won. on 14:44 - Sep 25 with 4260 views | Chrisd | They finished the game far stronger than us. The last 25mins they were the better side, we just didn’t look threatening during that period. We really didn’t test Cooper enough in that 2nd half.

Better team won. on 14:44 - Sep 25 with 4257 views | clive_baker | They’re a decent side, certainly good for at least a point which I think might’ve been a fair result. Having said that they scored 2 good goals and I think Walton was certainly the busier of the 2 keepers, so hard to begrudge them the win. Particularly frustrating to lead again and go home empty handed. I understand the desire for getting the subs on but we consistently lose our cohesion when we do. KVY looked way off, and not sure any of the others added much either.

How low we've come. Not feeling too downbeat over losing at Plymouth in the third tier after holding a 1-0 lead and looking comfortable.

Stats don't mean anything. They deserved the win imoh.

Better team won. on 14:47 - Sep 25 with 4169 views | LankHenners | I don't think anyone on either side would have really argued against a draw being a fair result if it had ended that way but the final period of the match was sloppy from us and they took the initiative. Not totally convinced they were 'better' overall but where we lacked composure in our chances to go 2-0 up they made the most of it.

Was Walton busier? Their keeper made a good number of saves (albeit some were regulation ones).

We had a good spell up until the equaliser, for sure. We were really starting to take control and should have put it to bed. Overall though they were slightly better imo. Better football anyway, and slightly more effective. But yeah, not a huge amount in that game.

Of course they mean something. Without a contentious decision and a sloppy pass from Edmundson they don't score. It's subjective of course but to say stats mean nothing is weird. They are the best metric to get a view of the game. SB

Yep. Cracking game of football and both teams had good chances throughout the match. Plymouth took 2 of theirs, we only took one. No gripes from me. The subs did seem to knock us out of our stride somewhat but fair play to them for taking advantage.

Isn't the final result the best metric to get a view of the game? It's the only metric they give you points for last time I checked.

What nonsense. The most important of all stats is 'Number of goals scored' and they finished up just ahead of us.

Yeah, I think you were a bit harshly treated on that thread. Maybe "crumbled" invokes something a bit strong, but you are right that "we were in total control one minute and all over the place five minutes later". This is why Stokie can pull out the Xg stats that show we were the better side... because we were. But we can't continue to panic like that. If we are better or equal for 80mins, but have a 10min defensive spell where we lose our heads and concede, we won't win against the top teams. No idea where it came from, but it suddenly flowed throughout the team. Just before the second goal I said we need to be calmer. Evan Walton shanked a kick out of play under no pressure because he rushed it.
