I'm pretty sure that everyone in category one also wants us to win games and be competitive, the difference is more that those from column A probably have decided that given what this team have done in the last two years they are going to just accept what happens this season. In my opinion there's nothing wrong with being frustrated at how things are going, but anyone calling out players or McKenna need to take a long look at themselves (again, just my opinion).

I’d like us to be competitive, win games of football and stay in this division. Yet I also understand how big an ask it is and can see how hard the club are working. If we go down, it won’t be for want of trying.

Post of the day ……..sums it up perfectly.

You might be on one end of the scale, and maybe there are a few at the other, but surely there's a huge majority who do, in fact, sit in the middle? Those who want us to do well and be competitive, but who also remember and are appreciative of where we have come from and the wonderful two years we've enjoyed along the way.
Are you saying that you don't possess the ability to be nuanced and appreciate what we've done to get to this point?

There is literally no one in the first group you mention, not one person. Almost everyone is in the want us to do better but not getting on the team's back group, and a handful feel we need to be much better. A few (not many) throw toys out of the pram on the regular.
I was born underwater, I dried out in the sun.
I started humping volcanoes baby, when I was too young.

I should imagine there is a correlation between those going to games and seeing improvements, and those that check the score at the end of the game throwing toys out of the pram

Beg to differ
10 games. Into November. Could be 12 before we even think about maybe having a chance of winning a game.
It isn't toys out of pram to share moans at that.
As I say. Two groups. If you don't feel the need to have a moan then you fall in group one imo. If you're happy to share a moan then it's group 2.
You can't imo claim to be group 1 if you don't feel annoyance with our results and still no win after 10 games.
We are a newly promoted team. We will lose more games than we win. A lot more.
We will be in a relegation fight with 5 or 6 other teams. So long as we don't lose too much ground on them we have a decent chance of staying up.
I want us to be competitive and I don't want us to go down. However, should the worst happen I think we will be in decent enough shape to come back up.
This has happened to the likes of Fulham, Brighton, Bournemouth etc and it's been a part of their journey to become established Premier League clubs.
Most sensible people are in the middle. You can be frustrated we haven't picked up a win but also see that we are doing our level best and that we were always likely to be up against it this season. What will be, will be. If we stay up, we have over achieved. If we don't then we are still in a miles better position than we were a couple of seasons ago. No point sh!tting our pants about it either way.

Starting to hate it too, don't think I have ever been so angry after a game as yesterday (previous play off and scum defeats aside). From 20 mins in until sending off was great but you just knew what was going to happen.
We have quickly gone from being the neutrals favourite team to a laughing stock.
McKenna's real challenge will be next season, can he get us back up again?
