Who are Ipswich most underrated players of all time ? on 12:54 - Jan 28 by JohnWarksTash | My dearly departed Dad always said Billy Baxter was his fave ever player |
Never mind that. He didn't worship God (aka Bobby Robson). So he's not worthy of being rated at all. Yes, I know. He was a good player.
Who are Ipswich most underrated players of all time ? on 14:19 - Jan 28 with 3113 views | Dubtractor | I always thought Jermaine Wright got a lot of stick for a cultured midfielder who was part of out best team in decades. Obviously not the most underrated ever, but always puzzled me at the time.

Who are Ipswich most underrated players of all time ? on 11:48 - Jan 28 by DinnernotTea | Didn't Whelan score in his first 2 or 3 games for us? Neither of them replaced Linighan well enough I thought. |
First two league games, had played in the Zenith Data Systems Trophy before that.

Who are Ipswich most underrated players of all time ? on 11:38 - Jan 28 by bluebudgie | John O Rourke and Frank Brogan without these two scoring the goals they did we wouldn't have got promotion in 1968 |
I saw John O’Rourke in my first ever ITFC game and he scored. My favourite player at the time. Shock of black hair and goals! It was a sad day when he left. | | | | Login to get fewer ads
Who are Ipswich most underrated players of all time ? on 15:30 - Jan 28 with 3034 views | Jimmy86 | I am going to throw in Damien Delaney, Colin Healy and Andy Dury, under Jewell.... Delaney almost quit the game when Jewell released him to only then go and play season after season in the prem for Palace. Healy was class in that Arsenal game in the first leg of the league Cup semi final. There was another game where he got hooked in the first half, when any number of players could've been taken off... Andy Drury was always a player I quite liked, came from Luton when they were non league and he used to zip the ball around in midfield... worked well alongside Hyam for a spell too... never really let anyone down either

Among the 193 crazy decisions Keane made, not using Stead and wanting rid of him so quick is up there. Not as good but similar to Scowcroft in his play, football brain and hold up play really good.

Who are Ipswich most underrated players of all time ? on 08:22 - Jan 28 by Lord_Lucan | I bumped into him once in Dartmouth of all places As for The General Gordon.... I used to go in there a lot back in the day, met my future ex wife in there. What year were your parents in there? I remember the bullsh1t Essex bloke who was replaced by big ITFC fan Steve - who then got nicked at football and couldn't get an alcohol licence. |
Wasn’t the General Gordon a favourite pre Gaumont gig watering hole?

Who are Ipswich most underrated players of all time ? on 09:07 - Jan 28 by Pique | Jermaine Wright. |
That volley at, was it Rotherham? Amazing technique, confidence and audacity that no player in the last 10 years possess . Not charismatic enough for some fans, had Holland’s laps of applause for that, Magiltons presence, Stewarts gloves, but Gamma was a player.

Who are Ipswich most underrated players of all time ? on 08:25 - Jan 28 by Metal_Hacker | Parents were in there around 80-late 82 I think it was I just remember it had been refurbed when we moved in |
Well they must be the predecessors to Keith - who was actually a lovely bloke but was a compulsive liar. Used to go in there a fair bit but it wasn't really my kind of pub but my mates liked it so that's where we used to end up. Before that it was The Falcon and The Coach and Horses. The Falcon was THE football pub but unless you knew the score you would not get in on a match day. It was back door entry only and TS, Curtis H and Tooty were the reception committee. The Coach was a right spit and sawdust place but that's what the charm was about. Dons Disco!
