At least the rest of the board agree with this, it might make some people… on 13:21 - Feb 11 by Medblue
Personal messages criticising players should draw no parallels with venting on here (a public forum for discussion) or letting off steam about recent performances. Any attempt to shut down all criticism of the team is a bit strange as this is meant to be a forum for debate.
Fwiw, it's not really about the 'what' is being posted, just the relentless frequency. Lots of posters have their say on here, and rightly so, but this individual has no off switch. And when the stuff being posted, at high frequency, is so relentlessly negative every time the team has a dip, it becomes a problem.

But it’s not debate when it is the same poster posting the same sh1t all the time.
Players dip in and out of form, fans point that out - they debate that. But you can’t debate when someone has just spent 3 years saying someone is rubbish, holding them to impossible standards and not having a clue
A good time to post this

Why would I sat it to his face? That would be cruel and not of interest to me. Would I phrase it differently to him if I had the opportunity to relay my thoughts on his performances of course but that's the respectful thing to do.
Saying my piece on an Internet forum is freedom of speech. I personally don't see why a footballer would want to read random fan thoughts on a forum.

Random is a perfect description for your drivel and bile. The vast majority of people on here don’t want to hear them either. You are the most ‘ignored’ on here and frankly the only reason a lot don’t have you on ignore is because it makes the whole forum close to unreadable. Rather than self reflection you have the arrogance to assume everyone else is wrong.

I've had Frimley on ignore on and off, and as of yesterday on again, which is a shame because I like some of what he posts - I don't see him as a complete muppet or WUM or troll like several others. But the Burns stuff has seemed a bit weird and obsessive to me, Frimmers, if you're reading. I think you kind of got on the horse and won't get off.
If David or Wes are reading, I'm sure you're made of stronger stuff - it's not just Frimmers, it's not just TWTD or ITFC, it's society as a whole and particularly with the stupidity under anonymity of social media - just ignore the sh!t, it's meaningless, valueless and inevitable and everywhere you look.

Oh so you are the kind of person that will happily talk about them and abuse behind their back yet present a Uriah Heap face if you met them face to face. Class. Don’t worry, you are not alone. I’ve met plenty that do that.
Never been my way and never will be.

No. I just use a forum to share views on football.

'Why would i say it to his face', why not, you say it on here plenty of times. If you consider it cruel, why do you constantly say the same thing about certain players.
What you are saying is that if you met with him, you would be nice and say good things, because that would be the respectful thing to do, and you don't want to be cruel.
Frimmers, you have been found out, no more hiding behind a keyboard .
Your constant negativity impacts on the players, clearly, and some supporters. Either get behind the club, stop your constant negative comments and instead, try to see the good that the club are clearly now promoting.
It's not freedom of speech, it's just a pile of negative shyte each time.

It really is unbelievable that during such a brilliant period for the club we have so many people being so critical of players and staff. It's fine to criticise performances but the stuff we are seeing is just totally ridiculous and beyond the pale.
I overhead some blokes yesterday after the game saying 'Burns is not good enough for this level' and 'the trouble is these players are league one players - they can do it at that level but not this' and Broadhead is 'not good enough. I could not believe it. Just staggering ignorance and disrespect. I am worried I'm going to end up in an argument with some of these people because it's getting harder to not react to the nonsense.
I can only assume it's all the glory hunters who just want to watch us win 5-0 every week and don't actually know anything about football.
Fella who sits next to me said he was stood in the queue for the bar at half time and someone behind him was saying we should get rid of McKenna and replace him with someone who knows what they’re doing!

Innit.

What do you think would happen if you went up to him and said his performances were bad? What benefit do you think Wes would take from that?
Would he then suddenly change his style of play because some berk who never sets foot in the place has a personal vendetta against him?
You need to have a think about your actions and the constant bilge, this place is all about discussing football, but your weird obsession with Burns is embarrassing.

Nonsense post. Goodwill of players- they’re highly paid individuals operating in the public eye and not above criticism. Damaging to whom? You’re suggesting every comment submitted on here is pinned up in the dressing room. This is a forum for debating the good or bad and criticism doesn’t make anyone less of a supporter- it’s a feature of football boards up and down the country and has been since time immemorial.
But the reference as i understand it was the constant comments made on twitter, or X as it's now referred to.
People can, and should be allowed to criticise, if there is good reason.
Constantly moaning about the same player on twitter for 3 years amounts to bullying and will have a negative impact on the players and their families.
True supporters want the best for their club, they support them through thick and thin. Often traveling great distances and at huge cost.
The last thing they want to be confronted with is someone watching at home, with their feet up, constantly dishing out negative shyte.
Have a break Frimmers.

You’d never say it to his face because you never go to games. Each to their own and we all have different reasons, but weird you care enough to make thousands of posts about ITFC and have bizarrely strong views about one player in particular yet can’t be bothered to actually get to Portman Road.

The queue was massive tho, god knows what he was doing pulling pints at half time.

Bit dramatic. It's a football forum.
When your words are provenly affecting a footballer's family, perhaps you might consider that what you're doing has gone rather a long way beyond "a football forum". Show some humility and good faith please, and take a valuable lesson from this situation. We're all bigger people when we learn and improve.

Now shall we move on on shall we keep this going?
The characteristic of not being prepared to say something in person, to someone, that you are happy to put in writing on an anonymous forum, isn’t a key characteristic I associate with being nice.
