Sorry I will rephrase that

66 out of 100 people who voted agree with me

You wanted a coalition of Reform, Conservative, Green, LibDem, SNP, Irish and Welsh parties, and Independent Labour! Wow!

I have only read the first page of this but surely the real message is that the OP would prefer some form of single transferrable vote or proportional representation (although they have phrased it a little more like preferring a negative voting system).

The point you are missing entirely is that you have no idea what those who voted for anyone other than Labour or Conservative would actually have preferred. I have previously voted for someone other than Labour or Conservative but would certainly have preferred this government to what we actually got when I did vote that way.

A couple of points. The electorate on 4th July was approx 48.2 million. Labour polled approx 9.7 million. That's 20% of the electorate. Seems incredible to achieve a 170 seat majority from those figures. Also in relation to the fuel allowance, the state pension is half the minimum wage! Yet some people think pensioners are well off! Labour should abandon that policy. Taking from the lowest earners & giving to well off train drivers is just wrong.

To be clear, your statement that 66 out of every 100 did not want labour is not true, it is an assumption based on personal bias, using statistics to try and win an irrelevant debate.

The correct statement is that 66 out of every 100 voters did not vote for labour, which appears to be the point you are trying (and failing) to make.

I say failing, because an equally true statement is that 66 out of every 100 voters did not vote for conservative (or reform, or lib dems or greens etc etc).

Too many people use social media to air their political grievances, but fail to make use of the only mechanism we have to drive change today, and that is actually getting off their arse and voting.

My personal view is that had the british people not been so fed up with the personal political rhetoric and had said media and politicians focussed on how the country needs to change, we may have had more of those 19M voters getting off their backsides to vote.

The counttry is in a mess, but it is so easy to blame the politicians for everything - noyt enough people contribute to driving positive change in their communities, it's easier to sit behind a keyboard and moan.

No sign of doing away with the Triple Lock at the moment and boosting the state pension by four hundred quid next year, he must hate us so much:

You don't think it is possible that at least some of those might be for the ridiculous notion that everyone who didn't vote Labour would have preferred a Conservative government to the current one? EDIT: Or just the general arrogance and disdain shown in the OP as the OP didn't actually contain that gem but only in a reply further down!

Do you share that view?

Regardless of how good or bad they might be, how have they shown themselves to be as bad as the worst government in history?

Baffling thing to say when the findings of the Grenfell report is being analysed in the headlines this week. Let alone the billions of other reasons the Tories were terrible for all of us.
