No. But I was hoping for a striker by now.

Probably not. I expected 3 in and we’ve already got 2 of them, so decent progress. I think the last will be another forward, with a couple of predictable departures confirmed late in the window.

I don't frame it as expectation. I assume the recruitment team is trying their best to get in a striker and another forward.

No.

January is always a tough window because of how short it is. We've done very well to get in two players of real quality.

If we get a striker, it will probably be right at the end of the window.

KM has said he's happy with the squad numbers and he only expects Town to go for a player if he adds quality. Behind this I suspect is one eye on our league position. If we had been a few points clear of the relegation zone I suspect they would have gone in hard. As it stands a couple will have to leave or be loaned out and should we get relegated (Hopefully not) the likes of Delap will probably move on anyway for a largish fee. The basis for a promotion push will still be there and parachute payments should allow us along with sales to be able to secure some decent players as replacements. It would be difficult to get in any player that would be of much better quality than what we have for less than 30-40 million. Would stretch to the limits the fair play rules and wouldn't absolutely guarantee survival.

No, we've added two key pieces.

We still need a striker though.

Not really. Thought we’d be just looking for a couple of missing pieces, but only if the right players available. Also a notoriously difficult window, etc.

Didn’t expect anything. I had hoped for a striker tho. Every day that passes is another day we don’t have one through the door.

Just a forward to come in, so, so far, so good. If we don't get a forward, I won't be to disappointed. We mustn't be held to ransom.

Probably not, evidently we want another winger and *need* a striker so will be frustrated if that doesn’t happen, plenty of time though.

Slightly disappointed that we’ve not had many if any solid links but that obviously doesn’t mean a huge deal.

January there isn't normally too many transfers.

I would have thought a striker was a priority, but I'm guessing that is a harder deal to do.

As with all the windows, more are likely to happen at the end.

Yes, one more but will likely depend on a chain of other moves happening. May well be on deadline day.

Wasn’t expecting an influx, just three, optimistically four reinforcements in keys areas.

Two bodies in, so hopefully, two more.

Priority is another central striker, simply because Hirst picks up too many injuries and Delap can’t do it all on his own. I think KM is sending that clear message to the owners, by putting Ali Al Hamadi on as a sub, when he’s clearly and understandably way out of his depth at this point of his career.

Problem is, Everton, West Ham and Leicester also need a striker.

We might have to take a gamble in the end and go for someone who doesn’t exactly fit the model of carefully selected recruitment.

We did that with Kieffer Moore last season, and adapted our approach accordingly, and might need a similar short term equivalent, just to make sure we keep Leicester below us and Wolves and/or Everton within reach.

I think the keeper situation is a tricky one we won’t be able to address this month. I don’t think either current option is ideal but it will probably be a case of playing them both, depending on whether we want to draw the opposition press or bypass it.

Three down….just two more to go..(WhatsApp Group, July 2025)

Nope, we are just over halfway through the window and we have secured 2 key players. Only expect us to get another striker in if the right deal comes along. Saw ELL scored again yesterday but seems he is off to the MLS
