Hmmm it’s an interesting one as I currently don’t plan to renew (predominately because I’m rather hopeful I’ll be living in a house, potentially in Scotland). Evans has angered me to the extent where I cancelled way back (the week Phil was banned to be specific).
I think I mocked the idea that the fans should suffer by not doing something they enjoyed just because some bloke is running the club and doing it badly. However, I’ve then realised this year that I don’t miss it that much and it’s for the greater good if it influences Evans out even if just a slight bit. |
Agree it's for the greater good but at the same time I don't think anyone is asking those who enjoy it/need to go to give it up. I'd never even suggest it to the likes of Troy for example. Just people who have had enough and want to do it.
Hopefully tomorrow this is all irrelevant and we can celebrate... |  |

I just can't see, and no disrespect to the OP
but, how on earth, this can even be true about it happening this week, with no whisper to Phil's contacts, nothing from the American journalists etc either and nothing from our own tabloids
Unless the Op is besties with Evans himself, I just can't see it happening without more people knowing. |  |

Because some things the press find out, and others they do not find out.
Someone involved in ratifying a deal would likely not have any contact at all with the press sources, or even any interest in the football side of things. |  |

I just wish I had the amount of "spare" time to spend speculating on what may or may not be true that some people obviously have, when we'd all know the answer for definite one way or the other in a matter of mere days anyway!

Reputable journalists need multiple sources to go to print with a story. That same benchmark obviously doesn’t apply on a football forum. Journalists may also be subject to an embargo - they have the information early as a privilege but they are unable to run the story until a specific time. |  |
