You never did answer my question, although I'm not sure I asked it to you directly - why, if all this was done and dusted by Saturday (or even sooner, that's just when you announced it), are they waiting for today or tomorrow (some 4 or 5 days later) to officially announce it? |

Pure and utter speculation/guess work but the delay could be due to the fact that the deal is done and the Americans had to fly in for the announcement

In all honesty the timings would work, and are plausible.
Assuming the deal was finally agreed on the Friday or Saturday over Easter, the Banks/Solicitors would not be back to work until yesterday, to receive the funds or complete the legal paperwork.
Usually with house purchases (know this is slightly different) solicitors usually ask for funds the day before completion to ensure that there are no hiccups. It is common practice for a solicitor to request the funds from a bank on a Thursday, ready for completion on the Friday. |  | | |

Never been involved in a takeover but plenty of sponsorship deals. It takes time to agree the press release, sort out photo shoots if needed, line things up with the right media outlets etc. |  |

This is a bit different though. ITFC is something I care about. And I want people on here to engage their brains with the so-called info they're being fed, yet I've had abuse for it because people so desperately want to believe it's true.
