For me, I think wearing the armband, then effectively defacing it with a message that could/should be interpreted as 'I'm doing this under protest' is worse. Minimum is its just as bad.

I just find it difficult as just very anti-religion but don't like to vocalise it too much as it is offensive to many, but this sort of sh*t is why - people think that when they are ultra religious they are morally superior to you and it's just laughable, they need to activate their brain and decide what is right and wrong.

Maybe the last thing this discussion needs is a full blown debate about religion, but I have to say, I'm seeing moral superiority aplenty on this thread, but no openly religious bods. In fairness, it's a justifiable superiority in many ways, but tolerance must work both ways or it's anything but. Please everyone remember that its completely possible to be gay and religious. | |

I reserve the right not to have any respect for Morsy's religion, or that of anybody else. I respect people's right to religious freedom, not the religion itself.
Being a Muslim doesn't make Morsy a bad person, nor does it give him a free pass for bigotry. |

Is Morsy a good human being? Probably.

Oh there is a story here, we're already at 19 pages on TWTD. Like players taking, or not taking the knee and people choosing not to wear a poppy, it creates hysteria among groups of people who want to feel offended on behalf of others. The irony is, our Grandfathers fought for Sam Morsy's right to choose. Of course, the offended are also free to feel offended, in a free country.
