Having gone from one of the first names on the team sheet to being out of match day squads this is a huge moment for him to step up with Cam being out injured. (I should add I'm not aware if he's injured himself).

That being said what strength in depth with him and Keogh waiting in the wings.

Dom Ball looked decent in a back 3 too.

God we're good ain't we!!

Poll: Apologies I'm bored. How many signings will we have by Plymouth at home.

He looked far from his usual self against Barnsley. I wonder if he's still finding his way back a bit after his injury.

My worry is being dropped completely from the squad will have dented his confidence, and, if selected, possibly affect his performance. Guess it's all in how McKenna explained his exclusion, whether George buys into that, and his mental ability to deal with it. Wonder if Keogh's experience might see him starting.

I didn’t think anybody would take the comment seriously. Just this talk about us being in the Championship next season worries me. After following the club for 50 years and ending up being disappointed on too many occasions I’m not taking anything for granted now.

I often wonder that ref his stretching but I now think it's just a personal / superstitious thing maybe

I also believe his time out has been due to the fact that he's not been 100% right in terms of fitness

Really don't think there is too much to read into it

I've been wrong many times - just ask the Mrs

He isn’t and wasn’t injured, McKenna disciplined him for being late to training. Whether he’ll be forgiven tomorrow now Burgess is out, remains to be seen.

Adding to his brilliant ability on the ball

He could be a starter in the Championship next term if we get promoted

If he was then there really isn't any excuse for it, timekeeping should be a basic requirement, and what time do they start training? 10.30? so realistically you want to be in for 9.30 at the latest, being late is poor form.

if that's so it's a very good thing. KM may be a really soft spoken guy but it's great to hear that he's apparently got that strong side to him. Players need to have standards.

Why would you want to get in an hour early - wouldn't warming up take just 15 mins or so, plus maybe allow an extra 15mins in case of heavy traffic?

Because getting in for 9.30 is hardly a huge task, maybe it's just me, but I'm up at 6 most mornings, so by 9.30 it feels like lunchtime!

Did you hear the starting pistol, as you've definitely jumped the gun?

I can assure you that, Hammo56, is most definitely a lifelong Town fan.

As I said to you at Oxford last season still remember taking you to Wembley in 78. I’m off to Sheffield tomorrow but will be on my own this time as the other 2 have somewhere else to go. Are you doing any away games in the near future?

No reason why he can’t bounce back. And I think it’s been a form/confidence issue too as physically he still has all the attributes.

I do think he needs a little leeway given he’s possibly the one player in the team not playing in his favoured position. And the style of our ambitious approach playing it out from the back probably leaves him a bit more exposed than he or we would like.

But as a pure defender he should still be fine and his value may be clearer in these bigger and tougher clashes where there will be more opportunity to impose himself on the game with those defensive strengths.
