So yet another weekend has passed with pubs closing farcically early and more issues being caused by people just drinking loads in a short period of time.
I think enough is enough, we need to stop being defensive over this. Open up stadiums and venues and let us get on with life.

I'm happy to debate sensibly with almost anyone. If you yourself wanted to talk about the limits of personal freedom for example, then I'd be game. I dare say it would be pretty interesting.

A poster earlier tried to argue that as people weren’t physically locked in their houses their freedom had not been compromised. It was this point that I was explaining was blatantly ridiculous. | |

Your freedom has never been in question. The very fact you think that because you cannot sit down the pub with 6 mates, although I doubt you have such, that your freedom has been compromised.
Try being shot at by the Army whilst standing outside your own home. Try being in the Armed Forces on deployment. Try being one of those uni students who ARE locked in their halls of residence with private security standing outside to keep them in.

Also worth mentioning as I pointed out in a different thread, that even if you are also OK with your family getting it (or they were OK with it), you'd then need to check with everyone else they were also in contact with and so on. |  |
