Straight swap for Blackpool. Much the same as this season, not that there was a lot of travelling this season for supporters.

Sheffield Weds / Hull
Rotherham / Northampton
Wycombe / Swindon
Cheltenham / Bristol Rovers
Cambridge / Peterborough
Bolton / Rochdale
Morecombe / Blackpool

Tuesday night

Not sure if it's still the case but for a period of time the fixture scheduling would purposefully schedule the likes of Morecombe away for a Tuesday night on the assumption that the shorter away trips on a Saturday would generate more away supporters and thus higher revenues.

Of course, everywhere is a long trip from Ipswich.

If it is a Tuesday night and you have a weeks holiday, go to the match and get the 2am ferry to the Isle of Man and spend a few days over there!

Did anyone predict when M.E took over the club that we would end up on div 3 hosting Morecambe FC..

No, but if the takeover hadn’t happened, I would be confidently predicting that we’d have been hosting Dover Athletic by 2026.

That is a sane world, but I have regularly experienced Town away games that are reasonably accessible being scheduled as midweek evening games.

Their somewhat minimalist Category 3 Academy is interesting. Among other things, it offers pay-to-play opportunities for "players based overseas". It could be a nice little earner!

ITFC shall rise like a phoenix from the ashes of its long decline!

Yet there are plenty who still believe Evans was a decent owner who was good for the club. Stockholm syndrome at its finest. The man is an utter disgrace and should be detested by every ITFC fan for what he's done to this once proud and great club.

Great trip up to Morecombe during our first year in the Premiership after promotion - FA Cup 3rd round.

Long journey but fantastic day up there. Fish and Chips with the old man and then onto the match.

I remember standing behind the goal with the Ipswich fans giving it to some Ginger lad on the sideline supporting Morecombe for a few minutes. If i remember rightly he got a few chants - obviously one about being ginger, and also got the old 'does your mum know that your here'

Good times.

It's be a Wise idea to plan the travel well in advance for this one, especially if you're like me and get airsick just licking an airmail stamp.
