Its the same story that Phil and the Eadt boys have been sharing for a few months now. That being that we are going to see a total clear out this summer.
Its odd that every time a new version of the story surfaces people seem so surprised, or try and doubt it is actually the case.
My concern, at the moment, is that we've not done a great deal in terms of signing the replacement players we need. Hopefully that will pick up pace very soon, otherwise we'll go into the season half cooked.
Not saying I think the extent of the clear out is a good thing btw, but it has been clear it was going to happen for ages now. |  |

What I don't get is you get plenty of people sad to see Academy players leaving..... Then commenting on how small the squad is getting.......... but ignoring the fact we have an u23 and Academy with players who we will be looking at to step up and stake a claim. |  |

Bit of a concern that apart from the 2 signings (3 weeks ago now...), we haven't signed anyone else yet...
...that said, having looked through a list of players signed by all the League One clubs since then, can't say I've seen a single player where I've thought "Damn...wish we signed him", so hopefully it's a case that the calibre of player we're after are bound to have options so aren't going to be in a rush to sign a contract yet... |  |

But it's not the same story. There are a number of players whom we could have let go but chose not to, and they are now training with the U23s. We have only 11 players training with the first team (and some of those are not expected to be in the team with any regularity), and we're a week away from July. All of that is news.

As much as I agree with your post, I am enjoying the total meltdown some people are having. Why should players who are going to be leaving in the next few weeks and won’t play for us again be training with the first team going into the new season? |  |

Spot on ... Getting the right quality will take time and patience and if they are any good we'll be competing with other clubs. We will win some and lose some. Everybody needs to chill because at the moment a lot of players will be taking stock and seeing what's available. It'll all start kicking off next month I reckon. |  | | |

Well, if they extended Jackson's contract to ensure that we get a decent fee for him, it doesn't send much of a 'he's a valuable asset' message if they then indicate that he is not worthy of consideration for a mid-table League 1 squad |  | | |
