It's truly been an epiphany for me and I must have a large piece of humble pie. I never realised how wide ranging the advantages of leaving the EU are. I feel obliged to list them all now as a kind of personal catharsis and redemption to confess how wrong I was to vote Remain. So here goes: 1:
Going well isn't it!

Which could've been done outside of the European Medicines Agency anyway.
Next, please...
Could’ve - exactly Would it have been though? I was, and still am really a remainer. But after the sh1tshow that was Europe during the initial vaccine rollout, I was glad we left

You promoted it as a benefit of Brexit. Which it isn't. That's my only point.
Do I think we would? No. The UK has mainly acted on its own on these things and since we have a few of the world's leading pharma firms here (for now at least) that would always have been the case.

Why would the UK have been reliant on the EU for vaccine rollout here?
We had our own group formed to oversee all that, probably the same as any other nations.
Germany did however send us 60 ventilators out of kindness when we were too low and offered us their track and trace as an open source which our government stubbornly refused, too busy banging on about our non-existent world-beating system that was still in the making whilst people here were dying.
I don't know why so many say they voted remain while then proceeding to justify leaving by any means possible. Scraping at the Covid vaccine barrel seems to be the main, if not only, thing they draw on.
Yeah your right, it was all going so well before for Joe Public we should probably best have carried on with more of the same....globalist free market Capitalism is a blast, I'm sure they'll work out how to make it work for us if we just give them more time.

The OP asked for opinions of advantages of leaving the EU. Yes agreed mine was an indirect advantage, but an advantage nonetheless I feel.

We're still part of a globalist free market you numpty.
Why do you think we've been scratching about trying to rebuild world-wide trade deals?
It's not about manufacturing more 'at home' and creating a better future here.
It's helped to line the pockets of the already rich even further and will continue to do so.
Brexit is not, and never has been, about the common man.

We had the freedom to buy/invest in whichever vaccine we could, and this got us ahead of the game.
Europes response was to sue AstraZeneca for late supply.
I’m not saying anyone is right or wrong with what happened here. But I just feel that we would probably have been caught up in this fight and severely delayed our rollout

Whooaa here
I remain a remainer but 100% but we couldn't have done what we did if we were still part of the EU.
Gotta love the England knockers - Ukraine - Germany sends 1000 helmets, UK sends more than that in people.

OK, mate.
This is why I usually don't bother with anarchist types, just full of contradictions, riddles and boll0cks. Makes sense considering what they believe is utter tripe.

We could have done it on exactly the same timescales. There was no restriction from us doing that.
What makes you think otherwise?
I can remember the charts in the media showing how far we were ahead of other European countries in the vaccine rollout. I may be wrong but I think we were about 20m people when others were in the thousands.
I feel that if we were still part of the EU at the time of investing/purchasing vaccines we would have been in the same pool as them, not able to negotiate our own deal.
