TWTD Questionnaire 2018/19 - HARDEST QUESTION 11:28 - May 24 with 928 viewsmo_itfc

Just had a look at the questionnaire...

Easily the hardest question there is "who is your favourite ever ITFC player"?!?!?!?!
I found that very very hard to answer.

I've gone for Counago... just because I used to love watching him play when I was younger!!

I'd love to know what everyone else has gone for.

Proper impressed with him before we sold him....shame

I can see that. Must be like the thrill a twitcher gets when they see a rare bird.

In the 38 games in which ALB played in goal for us, we averaged 1.53 points per game which, had they been over the course of a single season, would have seen us challenging for the play offs. This at a time when we were otherwise struggling against relegation. Oh, and didn't Mick Mills have terrific posture.

It is not a hard question for me, a harder question would be "who is your second favourite ever ITFC player?".

Anyone who doesn’t answer with Tabby needs to take a long hard look at themselves

My hobbies include being quiet during trips, clapping with songs, and diabetes.

Impossible to answer but I'd have to say in my time watching Town it has changed from (roughly)

Beattie > Wark > Atkinson > Kiwomya > Taricco > Dyer > Stewart > Hreidarsson > Bent > Kuqi > Gio > Walters > Murphy > Bialkowski

Allan Hunter - far better player than given credit for but would have been almost permanently suspended in these days where there are cameras everywhere. If someone kicked a Town player you could guarantee that 5 minutes later that player would be on the ground and Big Al would be looking the picture of innocence

Bobby Robson - thank you

I'd consider Tabb fairly highly... only because I saw him score against middlesborough with a header!!
Not goal of season...
But I can't imagine many people with that kind if height could do that!!

You tend to get attached to the players who were first playing when you start supporting, and I'm on the younger side, so for me Jon Stead was the star striker when I first became a fan. Owen Garvan and Jon Walters are a close second and third.

I really enjoyed Owen Garvan and Jon Walters when they were here!
Jon Stead was very good!
I find it really hard to choose a player out that wasn't doing well when I was younger.
.
My other choice was Jamie Clapham! could do with having a player like that again.

What?

My favourite player at the time has changed. I thought that was obvious by the fact that nobody would watch Beat and then decide they enjoyed watching Jon Walters more.

Mine was Marcus Stewart. Far from our best ever player but the goals he scored in his relatively short time with us were by far and away the most important and best goals in my time supporting Town
