I know this club is at an all time low and we have about as Much spare cash as Lehman brothers in 2007, but celebrating the re signing of a small frail lad with red hair and skinny legs who once had an ok 20 minutes away at Doncaster is laughable.
Fair enough we might as well give him 3k a week to sit in the treatment room for another 2 years but those of you who think he is some sort of messiah are very wrong.
The players we have let go yet we keep this calibre of player shows why we are where we are,
Ineffective,broken and cheap.
Should be our Motto.

Worst case scenario we spend a small amount of money on a player with a load of wasted potential.
Best case scenario, we have the best player in league one.
In reality, we probably get 15 games a season out of a player who's never quite match fit, sharp and as a result never looks up to it.
To me, there's no way he's up to a league one campaign. Not at a technical or even a physical level, I just don't think he's up for it. |  |

Although we do have a tendency to over-rate our young prospects, a thing incidentally all supporters of all clubs do, I never thought this the case with Bishop.
I always considered him a marvellous prospect and the best we've produced for years.
Unfortunately this did not take into account his appalling luck with injuries over the past two crucial seasons of his development.
Now we don't know. Is he injury prone or will he continue to keep fit and resume where he left off before injuries took their toll?
Those at the club will know far more about the prospects than us.
I trust them with this significant decision.
Therefore,imo, it is a correct decision to persevere with EB. |  | | |
