Owners have gone on record as saying they'd love to appoint a female manager. Obviously very succesful and would be a eye catching appointment but also a risk.... Discuss
So, we can have a female head of state (QEII), female prime ministers, including one who took us to war (Falklands) but we can't contemplate a female manager of a football club?
Does anyone appreciate how ridiculous that sounds?
"Sorry, as you don't have a pen15 you can't organise players to win a football match".

It would be a bold first, but a brilliant one.
TBF I wouldn't be using our previous female PM's as a yardstick to show why it would be a good idea...
I personally think there’ll be a bit of a revolution once the first female manager comes in to the mens game. There’s absolutely no reason that a woman can’t be successful. Appointing someone like Emma Hayes could well be like landing Guardiola or Klopp. I doubt a league one club will be able to get someone of Hayes calibre in a few years, once clubs wise up.

I just took offence to her saying that it would be a step down to manage a league 1 side.
Shes gone on record as saying a L1 mens club job is not a step up.
I dont think she would take the job.
Also its a big risk at this moment in time. More likely the owners would look at it if Cook had left on a high.

Probably better she waits to be offered the Man Utd job, then. However many badges she has, managing a team that is about the equivalent of an U15 team doesn't qualify someone to manage a Football League club.

That's what Jose Mourinho was doing before he became Robson's translator at Sporting Lisbon.
When Wimbledon showed interest she said it was highly disrespectful of the top level of the women's game that such a low level men's club had the audacity to suggest it.
