I think to say we only had one chance is harsh.
Evans header in 2nd half. The header from I think it was Ladapo. JJ had two decent chances and then the Morsy one.
I liked Celina but don’t think he would have changed the outcome of Saturday. |  |

He wasn't a clear leader on assists last year, equal second with Sam Morsy, Burns top. One more than Donacien and KVY. If you do it per minutes played, he was 5th.
I know players can be creative, and not have loads of assists - but if he's such a massive miss, I'd expect him to have. |  | | |

Be interesting to see what the xG for the game was, that would give a good indication of how good the chances were. Bolton only had one shot on target from the penalty (Think penalties are normally 0.8xG)

I think you need someone in those games against good sides who can look after the ball better in the number 10 role than both Chaplin and Harness manage - I don't see any way we sign a player of similar quality as Celina |  |

There's not a chance any of those, other than Morsys effort could be deemed as clear cut.

Your OP stated we only created 1 "notable" chance. Now you're moving it to "clear cut" (which in any case those others were).
EDIT: I'd love Celina back, but we created more than enough chances to win that game. Also, we won't be playing a defence as strong as Bolton's every week. [Post edited 1 Aug 2022 14:21]

Evans header, that chance at the end, and I think he tipped one round the post - we got a corner for it so looks like he saved it.
On top of that their defenders made several good blocks from shots or when about to shoot.
And we had a couple that went wide that probably should have done better with, Ladapo scuffing one wide and another one late on.

Evans near carbon copy in the second half was blocked, and in the first half their defender literally blocked a goal bound shot which would have gone in.
