Don't watch the video of that Shark Attack 10:29 - Feb 16 with 4682 viewshype313

Why someone would video it and then circulate it is beyond me.

Harrowing.

I'm amazed there's never been a recorded fatal shark attack.

Yeah / this one was shocking as it was a vertical breach like what they do on seals - catastrophic
Most deaths are just bleed outs from a test bite but this was an absolute mauling from below
I have read the reports and people say that part by the rocks is so deep you can’t see the bottom.
I know I wouldn’t have been swimming there even before the attack regardless of what precautions they claim to have.

He’s had his fun with the shark attack video but doesn’t want the rest of us to be able to enjoy it.

Selfish really.

No, it was definitely a shark.

Depth makes no difference. I avoid swimming near anyone fishing though.

To most attacks not so malicious maybe not but you can’t be vertically breached by a 12-15 foot shark if the water is not that deep to begin with .

I remember swimming at Palm Beach when I was 6, the siren went off and some bloke picked me and another boy up under each arm and got us out of there, didn't know what was going on, I was used to paddling around Felixstowe, and the only thing you had to dodge was a floater.

Years later was swimming at Cronulla and everyone got Bluebottled, I tell you now, they smarted....

I holidayed in Cornwall as a youngster just after Jaws and I would not go in the water.

I got married in India and walking on the beach one evening I saw a very large fish that had been bitten in half - I would then not go in the water.

I take your point and sorry for being so dismissive. What i meant was, plenty of people get badly hurt in ankle deep water. Swimming in water so deep you can't see the bottom around here can give you the creeps though.

This article did a good job of explaining how it happened.
