Evans has been a bit inconsistent at Town but yesterday he did his job very well. Some top notch long passing too. | |

Yes and 80% of those set pieces were rubbish. He's slow and pedestrian in midfield and doesn't break play up well at all.

Because he's equated Celina with scoring when that's not his main role. He's a creator who lays in chances for others.
Might as well as Morsy isn't needed because he doesn't make any saves.
It's just a false equivalence.
I think we still do need Celina, Chaplin just doesn't have the killer pass on him in that number 10 position for me but I know I'm on the minority in thinking that. I was however impressed with TJJ so maybe he will be the answer in one of those 10s.

Very early to be calling it on the strikers!
Fwiw we missed one big chance (Morsy's), what we really did lack was composure with our final ball. Second half there were half a dozen occasions where we fluffed relatively straightforward passes that would've got someone in one on one. [Post edited 31 Jul 2022 8:22]

Not sure 2-up-top helps much with chance conversion does it? Chaplin and Harness are both very good finishers.
Like I say, very early to call anything in terms of our attacking play and the chance conversion of our strikers. We made one big chance against Bolton, which was missed by a centre midfielder, so I don't think we can blame any of the 3 strikers who appeared at various points for not converting chances. |  |
