AFC Wimbledon have a subs coach 00:17 - Aug 19 with 1518 views | 3_5_2 | I kid you not. Interviewed on 5 live tonight. His job is to prepare any subs to warm up correctly and get them in the right mind set That’s it. (Cue their sub coming on to score a last minute winner a week Saturday)

AFC Wimbledon have a subs coach on 00:21 - Aug 19 with 1484 views | J2BLUE | Wimbledon in league one are like we were in the Championship. Not going to compete for promotion unless every little thing is maximised which is why the Evans era was so infuriating. Good luck to Wimbledon for doing little things like this.

It doesn't seem to me that you need a specialist to make sure the subs warm up properly. However, some do seem to have a perfunctory routine before coming on & you would think that getting the heart rate up, for example, should be part of this. Can be done by using an exercise bike for 5 minutes.

AFC Wimbledon have a subs coach on 08:26 - Aug 19 with 1053 views | itfcjoe | We had a subs coach last year, because not all the players could travel on one coach due to covid and the first XI had priority for the luxury coach...!

AFC Wimbledon have a subs coach on 10:16 - Aug 19 with 831 views | Swansea_Blue | I suspect everyone does. You normally see a coach out with the subs at half time. First team coach can't do it then, as he'll be in the dressing room.

I agree but this was more specific Planed out / motivational talk to match what the player is required to do (as opposed to "go on and get the winner son")

I was born about half a mile from the old Plough Lane ground and used to watch Wimbledon when they were non-league. Also used to regularly watch the speedway at the stadium so am very keen to make a pilgrimage to the area in January!
