I can’t believe Adidas on 15:13 - Jun 30 with 2124 views | Keno | Its incredible isn't it!! I wanted blue but with a rainbow effect stripes (Red Green and Purple) and a holographic badge on which the horse appears to kick the ball as you walk also three stars to be black, pink and yellow to reflect the multicultural society we live in and a message interwoven into material all over the shirt that just says "Lambert Out" [Post edited 30 Jun 2020 15:30]

But back in the day only top teams had kit made by Adidas. They wouldn't touch lower division teams then, it was all Spall, Matchwinner, Butka and the like at our current level. Now it seems to be carved up by Adidas and Nike wearing template kits.

Not from Adidas. Even the ones they produced for us back in the late 70s and 80s were templates.

And yet the Punch Apparel kits were far more innovative than the lazy templated Adidas stuff.

As was their other stuff. Not sure how "Core" connected with all that- but that was the same.

But they had some disgusting materials, like that shiny one above and our playoff win kit. Like being wrapped in blue bacofoil. Mind you, Umbro gave us the red laces, so even a large manufacturer can serve up weird stuff.

Wasn't the infamous 'Bury St Edmonds' kit one of Punch's?

It used to be the norm not to say they would rather be in division 3 with the worst manager in our history

I can’t believe Adidas on 19:13 - Jun 30 with 1512 views | The_Last_Baron | Adidas don't make bespoke kits for anyone. Have you seen the new Bayern Munich kit? The new Boca Juniors one is fantastic but it's based on one of their new templates. The only adidas shirt which we ever had which was different was the red band one from 84-86 and that was inspired by France. As for Nike, their kit designs are the worst out there.

and thank god they did as it meant you could buy the French 84 Subbuteo team as a Town replica :D oh sorry, no they were all individually tailored kits back then for sure, they never templated them, not for one moment did anything Adidas produce look the same... https://museumofjerseys.com/2019/08/21/lookalikes-france-and-ipswich-town-1984/

Bukta were fantastic. They made a great Hibs kit back in the day. Spall are still going if you want to get a kit for your local league side. Nobody has mentioned Hummell who are making a comeback. They made some legendary stuff (Denmark '86) and the new Everton kit is class. Wouldn't mind Town having a spell with them when the Adidas deal comes to an end.

This was going to be the Town kit design in 1988 which is why it is called the Ipswich. Town then decided to jump ship and go to Admiral. There was even some merchandise printed with the Admiral logo on it. The deal with Admiral fell through at the last minute which left Town remaining with Adidas for another year and keeping the same kit although it had the centenary motiv under the badge. That was why we had three years with the same kits 86-89.
