The goals tally isn't a true indicator of how completely terrible he was. I can only think of Mark Fish who's been less impressive for us. |  |

So what exactly is your point? Bennetts was misused by Lambert and Cook and should have been first name on the team sheet? Perhaps we should have blown the budget to sign him?
How about he made 30 odd appearances and banged in 1 (one) paltry goal for us. How about Bennetts got an easy ride at easy street Ipswich, where you barely had to even train, got some experience to help his career going forward whilst ITFC got zippo from the arrangement.
He’s gone back and for his career has hopefully moved on - and hopefully so have we. [Post edited 13 Aug 2021 21:03]

Not really boos ringing in his ears as he was playing in empty stadiums.
Certainly his confidence was shot to pieces, but only by how ineffective his own performances were.
