Heard from a well placed friend that Leon Clarke is set to sign on loan for the season from Sheff Utd.
You heard it here first.

He'd be a good signing at this level.

He'd tear it up. Year before last he scored a fair number of goals in the Championship. Exactly what we need.

I keep telling people that the players and manager do read this board. The fact that we're not playing well is a reflection of a deeper TWTD malaise. If we get our house in order on here then the results will follow on the pitch.

Mr Donacien in particular has been extremely upset by some of the vicious posts in recent weeks.

Hopefully not the same well place friend who told you Jack Ross had signed a 3 year deal with us :)

Fingers crossed as Clarke would be an excellent addition!

Sounds like it won't be hard to do the deal with Sheff Utd. Just depends on his wage demands I guess.

Not impossible as he's well out of the picture at Sheff Utd and Wilder has actively urged him to move on and play. Would be an excellent option here for a season.

(Edit — your track record ... errrm ... isn't the best though)

Is Lambert looking for someone who can displace Jackson though?

It would be a strange move when Jackson has been playing well and has a chance to establish himself to shift him out for a loanee who we probably won't be able to retain at the end of the season.

We need a presence up there really, or at least the option of one, and I doubt it'd be as binary as a new arrival simply displacing Jackson. We just need to options, variety and competition.

He'd be a good signing, but i'd prefer Murphy as he knows key players in the squad and would settle quicker.

I think he'd be a really good signing. Certainly a better player than Tom Elliott although I'd imagine he's on much higher wages.

I've said previously him & Norwood would be horrible play against. Wages I assume might be an issue though?

I assume Blunts would cover some of that if a loan deal.

....Jack Ross was our manager, Chambers has left, Waghorn doesn't play for Derby, MM is the manager of WBA, there was a general election in March etc, etc, etc.

Or perhaps you read the story about Wilder telling his transfer listed players to sod off?
