Yes. Adhame for me seems the strangest of signings. I’d expect a replacement for JJ as mentioned so a 10 and also a 9. I think there will be another player in there too possible as cover for a few areas. RM would be my guess.
Strikers
Hirst Loan/buy
Collins (Bristol)
Harris (p’boro)

Don't think Ahadme was a strange signing really.
We got to the end of August one body short in terms of strikers. We saw a striker who had started the season promisingly in our division, who was a good age, very athletic and wasn't going to cost a lot of money. So we got the extra body and a player to develop.

I think a fit Ahadme would have been the go to 75th minute sub for Ladapo, in games where KM prefers a big lad up top. Would have kept Freddy fresher and most likely injury free (in theory)...
I don't think we need a striker, based on conversion of chances. As we are Lg1 top scorers. Although, with TJJ out for a while, and Harness goals missing from the side. Another forward type player, you'd think, will be on the radar.. Think what we need, is a busy number 10. Someone who'll press and hassle and will have the odd goal in him. Just like Chaplin or Harness.... Keeping 4 strikers happy is difficult with a system that uses 1 up top.. But the way KM likes to rotate and substitute the front 4, in game. Would accommodate another AM in the squad, imo..
Obviously, if our entire squad was fully fit and guaranteed to stay fit, then we probably wouldn't need any new signings... The main blows are TJJ, Harness and Camara (bit of mystery to his injury/comeback date). All of which are mainly playing in an AM/ 10 role. So for me, that's where we currently need some reinforcements. If anything, just to stop us flogging the likes of Chaplin into the ground.

Jan not the best window; but we may see a 'BIG' name #9 signed... on 15:47 - Dec 14 with 406 viewsunstableblue

... we are on a good trajectory for automatic promotion

the owners will want to make this certain

the half season ticket sales, and sales for a full price boxing day are very strong and emphasise the revenue potential in the championship

the owners trust in McKenna and his selections... see Leif Davis, who's already increased in value significantly

as a result I suggest we get a big money number 9 signing in January, someone who is proven, can hit the ground running, BUT ALSO can be bedded in for the remainder of the season and be ready and good enough to challenge the championship

I just don't think it will be another Ahadme punt, or a young unproven premier loanee

if its not a bigger budget striker, then a pedigree premier league or higher championship striker who is not getting game time, coming to end of contract or returning from injury

although after camara and given the need for immediate impact, a player with injury doubts won't be on the cards!!

Poll: How do you rate the new home kit out of 5?
