Anyone on here leave after Fulham scored their third? 08:01 - Nov 2 with 6558 views | GeoffSentence | If so, why? I know we hadn't been great up to that point, but there was still 20 minutes of football left. It turned out that was our best spell too. I just don't get why people leave so early if things haven't been going great. [Post edited 2 Nov 2023 8:01]

Anyone on here leave after Fulham scored their third? on 11:18 - Nov 2 by ChampionsofInnsbruck | I think that people pay their ticket fee and can leave when they like, it doesn't make them any less of a supporter. Personally, I made the decision not to go last night as I assumed we'd play essentially a reserve side and go out and from a value point of view, I wasn't particularly willing to part with a full price ticket for what we treated as almost a pre-season game/set up in the end. I think a chunk of our supporters had assumed, with a quarter final up for grabs (and potentially a quarter final we could win) we'd have put a team out that would be a bit more competitive than we did, and played a system more akin to our league style, which if we were trying we weren't getting anywhere near that. I can understand why those who paid said screw it at 3-0, with Town playing very poorly, and we were, bad weather coming up, and going home early on a week night. I don't think that makes them bad supporters at all, I think a few people were expecting a bit more. I do think that if we continue to treat cups like a reserve fixture we will see dwindling crowds, and less excitement for them in coming seasons though. On the flip side at least our second string is going out to Fulham rather than someone like Barrow these days, so that is an improvement, but it's clear that the club isn't interested in taking cups seriously at the moment. |
- It wasn't a full price ticket. - Anyone expecting us not to make 10/11 changes is / was on another planet.

Anyone on here leave after Fulham scored their third? on 11:37 - Nov 2 with 1580 views | Ace_High1 | It is a night game, people have other things to get on with/back for especially if they have travelled from outside Ipswich. If you have a 5am start the next day for example, leaving 10 mins early to avoid sitting in 30 mins of traffic can make a big difference. Once the game is "done" then i can see why people leave. Especially in winter at night games when it may also be not the most pleasing conditions to sit and watch a dead rubber in.

Anyone on here leave after Fulham scored their third? on 12:34 - Nov 2 with 1542 views | Help | Only the plastics left after the third. We are season ticket holders in our usual seats and all around us were unfamiliar faces. They all left after the third Fulham goal. No singing either because they don't know the songs.

Anyone on here leave after Fulham scored their third? on 13:19 - Nov 2 with 1488 views | tpsontour | I didn't but I would have got back to London and home an hour earlier (11.30pm instead of 12.30am) the way the trains fall after midweek night games and avoided the chaos on crowded platforms packed with Fulham and Ipswich fans if I had, so I can understand why some, especially older fans, might leave early...
Anyone on here leave after Fulham scored their third? on 13:20 - Nov 2 with 1491 views | Asa | I never understand why people fail to understand the dynamic of the crowd. - People that go to every home and away game - People that go to every home game and some away - Season ticket holders - Fans who go every now and then - First time fans - People that love the club but have mobility issues so need to leave before the masses - People who need to leave early for a lift / transport - People who have been dragged along and don't care about football Every stadium has some of each. I know someone that goes home and away but leaves on 85 minutes every week because he can't drive, has a long-term knee injury and his wife picks him up on the basis she doesn't get stuck in traffic for hours on end. Last night was the largest percentage of people wandering around trying to work out where their seats were that I can ever recall. Not surprising that all 28,000 weren't Blue Action fanatics. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Anyone on here leave after Fulham scored their third? on 08:25 - Nov 2 by SitfcB | I never leave early, and don’t like early leavers, but after they scored their 3rd I said we’d go on 80 mins but after we scored we ended up staying until the 95th min, still got away a lot quicker than usual, that’s the only reason why we were gonna go on 80. Anyone on here leave after Fulham scored their third? on 10:56 - Nov 2 by hatch | I was in the SBRL concourse at half time and one of The Twins was wrestling with the fire exit before a steward asked him if he was okay and he responded - 'let me out, I'm going home'. It's rare you see the twins together these days so last night was refreshing, even if it was for only 45 mins. |
They’re alive! I haven’t seen either of them for a while, Drum & Monkey times, pre Covid I reckon. They were separated for their own good at one time?
Anyone on here leave after Fulham scored their third? on 13:38 - Nov 4 with 1247 views | Whos_blue | Stayed to the end, but I always do. A couple of drunk sweary clowns behind me left after the third. Can't say I missed them too much.

Anyone on here leave after Fulham scored their third? on 15:27 - Nov 4 with 1225 views | stonojnr | There were alot leaving too, it wasn't just a few people streaming out. My attitude is I've paid to watch a whole game, so I'll wait till the bitter end before I leave. For others it's their choice
Anyone on here leave after Fulham scored their third? on 16:08 - Nov 4 with 1196 views | OldFart71 | Nope. Left a few minutes into extra time. First time I have been to PR for over twenty years. Enjoyed the game. Shame we were so poor first half. Brightened up when the subs came on, really we needed a goal early in the second half and Waltons mistake for the third finished us off. But as Kieran said we have to put into order our priorities. Not necessarily winning the League, but progress with the aim of getting rid of our weaknesses and improving the squad so that we don't go up and get beaten every game.
