Statistical comparison with last season 15:08 - Aug 6 with 41310 views | Nthsuffolkblue | If we take each match as a comparison replacing the promoted and relegated teams with those directly replacing them ... After 1 match we are +1 point, +3 GD and -1 GF. Today's match Forest Green replace Gillingham who we beat 0-4 away so we that is our "par" score. Of course, we won't improve/match every result all season but overall we need to be up something like 20 points by the end of the season. I will try to keep tabs on this after each match.

Statistical comparison with last season on 15:22 - May 7 by Nthsuffolkblue | Just for completeness: 46 matches +29 pts, GD +46, GF +36. Enough for promotion and that's what really matters. Not quite enough for 100 points nor the title. Congratulations to Plymouth - a phenomenal effort. The Mariner dream ticket. Only these questions left. Do I repeat this next season? And if I do, what would be most appropriate? A comparison with the teams that finished in equivalent places last season? A comparison with the most recent time we played the same opposition regardless of how long ago? Or not to bother. |
Got to be a statistical comparison with our last season in the championship, hasn’t it?

In what way? If it's the same team a direct comparison with that result. If the team is no longer in it, picking the team that replaced them? It might be a bit complicated but I might be able to manage it. I do like the general principle, though.

Statistical comparison with last season on 16:36 - May 7 with 375 views | Dilithium85 | I would love this for next season but it's hard to compare next championship campaign to our last from that long ago against different teams. I guess you could compare them and how many points town got from the same match day? For instance match 1 under Hurst was a draw, so compare the first game of next season to that, etc, etc
