Breaking Bad is plot-driven, Better Call Saul is character-driven. And I think Saul and Mike were the most interesting characters apart from the DEA guy that's also sort of floating around now.
Personally, I think the people ARE more interesting than the events. And some of the interactions in BCS are just stunning - even better than Tarantino IMO.
For me Better Call Saul is like reading a book. Best done on your own and just lose yourself in it. But that's a different level than normal telly where you can keep half an eye on it and still follow it. |  |

I didn't think that was bad actually. Not as good as BCS but in that style and showing how Breaking Bad might have been.
But not sure if the main actors in BB have the same ability to carry it off. | |

Well said, fully agree. BCS is the best thing on telly as far as I am concerned. Just read that it will have 13 episodes in the sixth and final season to be screened next year, which will be a total of 65 compared to Breaking Bad’s 64. It seems the public agree. |  | | |

This is a brilliant shout. That scene is perfect.
E6 of S1 (Mike's backstory) is my personal favourite.
Mike is the star of a stellar list of characters.

Really? I think his struggle with identity and who he really is is utterly fascinating. And it seems like Mike has almost the same problem but it's all hidden.
