Finshed Better Call Saul - SPOILER ALERT 13:32 - Sep 28 with 796 viewsblueasfook

Really enjoyed it overall. Laughed at Jessie's appearance in the final season. Dude looked about 50, when he was supposed to be younger than in BB. Couldn't understand though why at the end, when Saul was facing a mere 7 years in prison, he chose to blab in court and ended up with 84 years. Was that to protect Kim?

Now want to watch BB again for continuance, but not sure I could do a third watching.

My Mrs reckoned he would never have gone soft at the end.

The writers obviously wanted Jimmy to get redemption in the end but he would have taken the seven years and then made amends when he was out.

Great series though. Missing it as we’d been watching BB followed by BCS for over a year. You get attached to these characters.

To protect Kim, to some extent, but more to protect himself. He could be Jimmy again, which would have been less of a toll on his psyche. It was redemption.

According to Vince Gilligan, he wont be doing anything more in the Breaking Bad universe.

For now - hopefully! Not sure where else he could go with it though. Maybe Walt Jr could become the new Heisenberg when he grows up.

Although wanting to be Jimmy again, he's Saul the celebrity lawyer to his jail mates.

I don't want him to die in prison. I want somebody to break him out so he can have a happy ending on a tropical Island with Kim.

I saw it as him needing Kim's approval, more than anything else. Sure, he could do the Saul act and he enjoyed it, but without her it ultimately left him empty.
