It's bad but referees are hard wired now to give a foul as soon as they see someone hit the floor, so it's not much of a surprise. Everything has to be a foul, even when it's completely 50/50. It's as if they feel they are making a strong decision by giving *something* when really the strong decision is giving nothing - like Edwards' yellow for diving the other night. That said, and this isn't directed at Edwards, players not diving and not constantly looking for fouls would help. [Post edited 20 Oct 2022 12:52]
