I don't get this two week break being good at all 08:46 - Mar 21 with 2850 viewsDyland

This isn't a post about the non call-up fook up.

I'd rather postpone a match where Broadhead and Burns aren't available. But I don't agree the break is a good thing. Seems wishful thinking. Training ain't the same as league match competition and a break stops our momentum imo. Look at Morecombe when they came to PR. Of course, they aren't the same quality side as Town, but they had some decent form but played like strangers. Not saying at all that Town will play like strangers at Derby, but you get the point.

Oh who knows ffs. COYFB

Gives us a chance to rest Burns, Morsy, Chaplin and the regulars who have had long, tough seasons.

It also gives us a chance to rest the pitch. As we move into spring and pitches start to get better again, i think that could be a huge boost, considering the style of football we play. It is no coincidence that we got off to an absolute flyer at the start of the season when pitches were pristine.

Re the pitch - we had no home games during the int. break.

Like most football decisions it will totally be judged in hindsight.

If we go up, it will be the key reason that we had this mini pre season and flew into the final sprint bang ready

If we don't, the break in momentum will be why we didn't.

What people should understand , is that, although international beaks, are a rarity in Lg 1.. McKenna and his staff and a few of our senior players are coming from clubs and backgrounds where they are a regular occurrence, in fact, they are the norm.
And not "a thing".....
Barnsley fans comments are just banter.. "Your scared of us" sort of thing...

Our very professional set up, wont be affected in any way whatsoever, by having a match free Saturday.. It's mad to think they would, imo..
And people are talking about momentum? But I 'm sure we taking things a game at a time, anyway. Each game is a one off game.. Form and momentum , as nice a thing as they are. Really dont matter, in one off games...
