Surely the Government haven't got easing of the lockdown all wrong too...

How many people are actually going to exploit the new freedoms when they come into force? I'm really not comfortable with getting out and about properly just yet because of covid. Going to try and keep to the lockdown as much as possible until it seems sensible not to do so. No way am I going near high street shops etc.

The one I'm waiting for is to be allowed to travel to Norfolk again - as soon as it's on, I'm off.

I'm staying put! Our group of friends have decided to give it a few more weeks before we have a socially distanced BBQ too.

Mrs Dub is a primary school teacher though, so that isn't ideal.

I might sit in a pub garden when they open, not going to lie. But I'll probably do as much non-food fooding shopping online still, probably for most of the rest of the year.

That said, Mrs Badger keeps angling for a trip to f*cking Ikea, the shop that makes you want to kill yourself.

I heard the response up there to the news that you can't have sex with people outside your own family was a collective shrug.

Same here. If you don't need to go out for work or essential services, simply don't.

The Government have let this loosen too soon and it is going to be a brave move to put certain areas of the UK into a more stringent lockdown. Interestingly Andy Burnham is almost pleading for the Govt to do so.

Also, this is a lag of 2-3 weeks. The R number is probably even higher now

Reduction in average daily deaths in the weeks ending Friday seems to have stalled badly this week.
I make the last 4 weeks as follows - 394, 342, 253, 236 (discounting the 445 that were added this week from previous weeks).

I can’t believe the pressure junior football clubs are coming under to start training again. I have to keep pointing out:

There’s a global pandemic in full swing
It’s June
Our training venues are locked.
Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should

But it’s just not going home.

It's 106 miles to Portman Road, we've got a full tank of gas, half a round of Port Salut, it's dark... and we're wearing blue tinted sunglasses.

My archery club(because I'm THAT middle class) are making no noises about it so far. Possibly some outdoor practice till September but definitely no indoors till then, they've decided.

I understand there's a very large one in North Essex. You could probably hold a really good, distanced BLM protest there.

Indeed, it will be gradual. Without pubs, life sport, gigs or working in an office many people will mix a lot less than in late Feb and early March. That should reduce the spread for everyone, even those unable to work from home.

That said if those R numbers prove correct then it won't take a lot to top this into exponential growth again - and the effects of parks last weekend, and protests this week haven't hit it yet.

Indeed. This was the R number from 2 to 3 weeks ago.

We've seen moronic levels of activity since then
