About 1956/7 we only knew one family where they had a telly and the lady, Mrs Frost, let us go round to watch The Lone Ranger and, sometimes, The Cisco Kid.

Bear with me this is going back to about 1980, Anyone remember a thing called Wordy? It was a kid's TV series and involved a story about a spaceship landing and a couple of space folk being spotted by some kids playing. Used to freak me out but also fascinated me.
Then I found Town.
It sounds very much like this. And it was from Look and Read. I remember it really well too, typically disturbing stuff like everything from that era!

Yes i do, was used in schools wasn't it? Didn't it have a giant pencil/pen to help kids with joined up writing. Remember the spaceship things gave me the jitters to.
Yep, think it was called The boy from space... The pale bloke in it used to scare the s**t out of me....

Nonsense. Top cat is by far the best ever.
I would not say that that was ever a kids show in the sense that most of the others that are mentioned are. Most of the others were for 3-5 year old's not 35 years old's.
