Burns wasn’t offside! 21:00 - Sep 26 with 2003 viewsunstableblue

If you watch the below he’s behind the last defender, or at worst level!

Poll: What level of support are you bringing to Portman Road today?

At the time it looked really tight and I had no faith in that lino to get it right (he was as bad as the ref!) but to be fair it looks just offside to me when Bonne flicks it on. Fine margins though.

I was more aggrieved by the ref only adding 4 mins injury time. Ridiculous.

think you've got your blue specs on there, his whole leg is beyond the last defender when Bonne heads it

Not to my eye. Freezing the image just before Bonne touches it he looks just off to me. Always more likely to be given when the attacker is closer to the Assistant Ref than the defender (see Mo Salah goal yesterday that was ruled out and then awarded by VAR)

I think the blonde defender is playing him on, but with no VAR, the only thing that would have mattered had Harper passed the ball would be the linesman's opinion, and for the human eye at that speed, it could have gone either way.

He looked offside to me.

If the lino made a mistake why is the focus on that and not Bonne’s early miss firing at the keeper’s chest ?

Yes freezing again and thinking about Bonne flick, I am wrong and you are right, bloody tight though

You make your own luck… and we had chances to win it we should have taken other than that ruled out goal

We move on to Tuesday

Yeah that 4 minutes was absurd, at least 6 given the amount of players they constantly had lying down.

If you pause the clip as it is flicked on you can see plenty of Burns beyond the last defender.

Clearly the right decision, although it was tight.

He was offside because the officials said he was offside, as simple as that.

Yeah, the best I can get is just before bonne heads it and he's offside then. The lino definitely got that right.

Poll: Do you think Pert is key to all of this?
